Vince Young Should Finish His Degree

That worked out real well for him last season didn't it?

 

I still don't think Vince going back to Austin in the spring was a major factor on his 2008 season.

 

How do we really know VY went back just to finish?

how do we know he didnt go back to get away from the NFL and to feel that school comfort and hang with his partying friends? VY got home sick and the NFL is too real for him. I think until he matures and puts his School days behind him then he wont be ready to take the next step. He needs to act like a man stop partying, stop hanging out with school buddies. he needs to live ,eat and breath football then go home to sleep and start all over again the next day.

 

What does it matter? It really doesn't matter what Vince does in the offseason as long as it doesn't effect his preparation or fitness. I understand Riverman's point of view that time in Austin takes away time from working on his game. But since, as far as I know, Vince traveled to all the OTAs, I think blaming anything on Vince going back to Austin is just an excuse for Vince.


Stop partying and hanging out with his friends??? That's ridiculous. It's not like Vince is the only NFL player to hang out with friends and drink alcohol. It's not like there are not any top level NFL players that drink or have friends.

 

The thing is those guys are top level, VY is Emo on the field and got Benched for an old guy. He should not have the right to party until he improves.

 

Vince never missed any time with the Titans by going back.

it's a right but, NFL teams should be able to punish players who party that arent doing the best they can on the field.
