I give him credit for keeping it going because that defensive end got off the block and Young accelerated to avoid him before pulling up to throw. I'm not sure he was open the entire play, but it's hard to tell from that poor video.

And yes, we can agree that Drew Bennett dropped a very catchable pass.

Seeing Drew drop that one only reminds me of his drop of one critical McNair pass in chilly New England.. You have an animation of that Gunny? Just for the sheer torture of it all..

If you bring up that drop Cruds, you have got to bring up the catch he made two plays prior, which was absolutely beautiful....i think it was on 4th down too. One of the greatest catches I have ever seen. Don't forget........sweet and sour.

Vince created the opening with the pumpfake, and yea, he shoulda caught it. Then the drive woulda stalled, and we'd have been 3 points richer as long as we avoided an INT or fumble.

i thought that pass was awesome. Probably one of the best in his career if it was caught.

While he may or may not have been facing Bennett, because he didn't (and couldn't) set his feet, his momentum from running would have caused all kinds of hell.

Though with Drew, we expected those drops.

We are also talking about a NFL level WR too, right, not a high schooler?
Every WR 1st, 2nd or 3rd stringer can make that catch.

By what standards is it a bad throw? Tom ****in Brady couldn't have made a better throw on the run with defenders on his heels.
Kinda hard to make that throw when you are being chased by a defender, running almost perpendicular to the direction of the pass, and making the throw away from your body: that's almost as bad as rolling out to the other side and trying to throw across your body.

Have you ever fired a rifle? If so, is it easier to hit a target in a still, prone position or on the run with people chasing you? That's what I thought.

All Vince had to do was throw the ball 55 yards, just loft it in the direction of Bennett, but he throws it 45 on a line and severely underthrows his WR......Defined as a BAD THROW. "Perpendicular to the direction of the pass"? are you friggin kidding me? He was running down the sideline forward, and Bennett had to stop 6 yards from the sideline....how is that not straight? "Across your body"? WOW, way off.

A rifle? We are talking about Vince Young, so I guess your argument does hold water. I'm laughing at the thought of Vince Young at one of those QB skills challenges trying to hit a moving golf cart.:ha:

But Drew Bennett should've caught that ball.
