i liked that big hit Lewis had on Hall but Hall still held on to that ball.

Amhard Hall is a former Marine who served a few tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. I think he's tough enough to take anything Ray Ray would do.
Unless he stabs him I guess.... but it was a big hit.

I loved everything about that play. He came up from that hit with a smile on his face. Kinda scary, come to think of it...

Coulda stomped on his head while he was down too, then go make it rain celebrating afterwards.

Anyone see the post game interview conference with Mason. The question about 2000 was brought up, still kinda see some hurt in his eyes. Problem is even though it was 8 years ago, stuff like this does not go away for any true fan or player. Thats why I wanted to see San Diego first then worry about Pitt or the Colts, but then again if I had to do it all over again I still wanted Baltimore over the Colts. This will only make us better for next year, esp with the team flipping out afterwards throwing guard rails down in such. Still think what could have been, only natural. But after seeing Arizona stomp all over Carolina I think the Titans loss to Baltimore will be thrown under the rug.

I agree. It was a bad call or lack there of rather and let's face it, every team throughout the season will have their share of them at some point - just some at more critical times than others (*cough*us*cough*). Hopefully they will do something about the awful officiating that's been abundant the past couple years. We beat ourselves today though. With the amount of turnovers we had, it's rare to see such a close final score but not when both teams have top defenses. Our defense played great today aside from making any "big plays" (fumbles, inceptions, etc.) like we had in so many of our regular season games. However our offense just simply couldn't take advantage of several great opportunities. You can't say enough about Gage in this game. Absolutely great effort. As for Lendale White and Alge Crumpler...had at least one of them hung on to the ball then we obviously might not be talking about a lose here. Losing CJ obviously hurt us greatly and most likely rewrote most of our game plan/approach for the day. I think Bironas simply choked on the missed field goal kick. Usually I would say there's always next year...which there is but I'm just not sure where/who we'll be then with as many players who might go or stay. It was a good season and it's a shame it had to end with a bunch of bad/non-calls, penalties, and missed opportunities because we were definitely the better team.

(Yeah, yeah...I know it's "Smash & Dash" but I made it before they came up with it so I'm not changing it...right now at least ;) )

Bob Lawing should be released from his responsibilities. I don't care about anything else. As the primary task in the non-call situation was the ability to count, he failed on every level. He has been incompetent all season and today was no different.

Playoff Hopes Blown When Whistle Wasn't

SUMMARY: On a key third down late in the game, the play clock showed zero but no whistle blew. The resulting play proved to be a difference-maker in Baltimore's 13-10 win. Heap's 23-yard reception, which came with 2:36 remaining in the fourth quarter, gave the Ravens a first down at the Tennessee 45. The Ravens eventually kicked a 43-yard game-winning field goal with less than a minute left in the game. "It was a good football game, and I guess the refs didn't want to get involved," Nick Harper said. "But sometimes you have to make those calls when it's an obvious penalty. For some reason they decided to let us play, and (Flacco) was able to make a play."

that's why they give you ***holes whistles

and the fact that you don't "call it" leads more credence to your incompetency

In this day of technology, why do we need to rely on a ref to blow a whistle when the time runs out? In basketball, they have a buzzer on the shot clock.
