Is this really a rematch of 2000?

I've read on here and on other sites that some think this is a rematch of
2000. As some of you have made perfectly clear you don't care what I think but I really don't agree that it is. In the NFL 8 years is an eternity and the Ravens only have a few players left from that team. Besides, wasn't the rematch already played when the Titans won in the playoffs a few years ago?

I may be wrong, but the only players left on the Ravens that will be suited up Saturday that played in 2000 are Ray Lewis and Matt Stover. McAlister would be but he's on IR.

In reality its not a rematch. But it does draw close parallels.

Yea, it's maybe a rematch for Titans fans, but I bet no players are seeing it that way.

We were the #1 seed with a 13-3 record... first playoff game and we get our tookis handed to us, even though virtually every significant stat showed the score should have been reversed. That was tough to swallow, but it's been a looong time. In the NFL even 4 years can mean a completely different team. If you're still holding on to something for 8 years then there's a problem. :)

I don't view it as a rematch but a continuation of the rivalry.

In Titans-era playoffs, this is our 3rd match against Baltimore. The most against any team.

You are wrong. Rolle and Mason played in 2000, but they played for us. There are several players on each side with a significant memory of this one.

It's not the first rematch, but it's the most similar one we've seen in 9 years.

I think the titans will go in and erase all memory of the game in 2000
