Can't believe he would take the lions job. Browns would be interesting because they are a 3-4 team with defensive talent built around that.

The browns and the broncos are the plum jobs. Both have a nucleus of talent.

If he gets a head coach job, expect a few positional coaches to go as well. That may mean he'd want McGinnis as his DC which would open the door for Williams to return.

  6. There's nothing wrong with the Lions job now that Matt Millen is gone. It's a rebuilding job for sure, but they are already on the ground floor and ready to start.

In fact, it might be the best job out there for a young head coach. The fans there are desperate, there's literally nowhere to go but up, and a simple playoff appearance might get a statue of you erected...

I believe with Dave's curret possition of Assistant Head Coach/Linebackers he would prefer to move up to DC and saty with a proven team.

And don't forget the Lions were in a ton of games this year and just never could finish. They have some talent, just need the right coach and a few more pieces. They are by far the best 0-16 team in history. ;) I'd put DET 2nd on my list (behind DEN) of good places to wind up as a coach.
