    Wow that's a resume builder.

As for fisher there were bad moves and less than steller coaching years. We started 0-5 in 2006 in large part because he tossed the starting QB in favor of a guy who simply was not ready to play.

And what about zach pillar a guy who had no business starting in an nfl o-line? We couldn't run the ball that year because piller sucked and bell was out of position at RT. Piller gets hurt, stewart moves in, bell moves back to LG. Great coaching move by fisher!

How would you grade the coaching in 05? Playing for a draft pick? We lost to the dregs of the nfl. In 2004 we had a losing record before all the injuries took hold.

When we have won during the fisher era it was because we had good players. Don't you expect that?

Thanks for answering my question. You thought he was doing a great job during that 9-28.

You hold fisher to no standards at all? well you don't hold herm edwards to any standards either. If 2 wins are exceptable playing in a division where the best team is 8-8 than any POS coach is doing a good job. well except for mike shanahan.

You are not making any sense at all!

"You are what your record says you are." Talent does elevate a coach, not his coaching skill; just the record.

Fisher is awesome. He was always a great coach even through the difficult 2004 and 2005 seasons. I can see how his m.o. is a bit too conservative for some peoples tastes but everyone knows that it was a combination of cap management/strategy, poor drafts, injuries and luck that brought the Titans so low. Coach Fisher was and remains a point of light.

you can't expect anyone to take this seriously.

C'mon man... do you think he was happy about having to turn to Collins? You know that Volek was trying to pull the power play. You know that he was unhappy with drafting Vince Young. Billy Volek chose not to compete. Billy lied his way out of Tennessee. Fisher tossed Volek? Now Fisher is a tosser, eh? Me thinks not. You have distorted truth with that assertion.

Then why do these guys get paid so much for if they are slaves to talent?

If a coach is simply putting up the exact record that his talent indicates he is then average.

Coaches are not slaves to talent, where did that come from?. Take Fisher for example .......according to some of you he was good then sucked and now he is good again (or something like that). He is a good coach no matter what the record. But you have to have the pieces of the puzle together to excel.

  8. How about when said coach is also in charge of picking that talent???

I mainly object to the argument that Fisher should have started Volek when Volek was the one who expressed little interest in competition and allegedly lied to his coach. Being forced into starting Collins was misfortune at that point. It's not like Fisher had anything to do with the McNair lock out or McNair's contract. That's on the fat bald guy at the Monday Morning Quarterback desk on espn.
