even if that were true, which im pretty sure it isn't, it's irrelevant as he scored 0 points...therefore, first downs were obviously hard to come by

Sorry Bud, but you are the one that's wrong.

Sorry, I just find someone saying "Vince couldn't buy a first down" ridiculous considering his first play was a passing first down.

    Whatever, I'm outta this thread.

What has Vince done to prove to you he is capable of being a franchise QB of your favorite NFL team? It's gotten bad when you begin defending how many 1st downs he got in a game he couldn't put any points up.

And, then you 'outta this thread' because you know deep down Vince is terrible, you just can't admit it because you've defended him for so long. It's okay to be wrong...hell, I still HOPE i'm wrong about the guy cuz according to Bud, he's our guy.

If you want to defend him, point to his rookie year. To compliment ANYTHING he's done in 2008, you are flat out embarrassing yourself. So sad :(

Yea, Vince has been a huge part of our success this year...this homerism is insane. I guess if I had kids, I'd defend them no matter what, even if I knew I was wrong because they were MY kids. The only logical reasoning for all this defense he gets is there are a lot of Dad's of Vince in this forum.

ZOMG! HE GOT A 1st DOWN!

He also had a ton of 3 and outs. If your reaching down for something to defend him that you have to resort to "well he had a first down!" then that's pretty sad.

    well he did

I liked the runs right into the arms of the multiple defenders looking him in the eye.

Just curious why there was only one response to this post. I too feel the same way and posted something similar in another thread about VY yesterday. All of you who say he will NEVER be a franchise QB, I am curious and have a few questions:

    1. Seeing how his career unfolded did you considered Steve Mac a Franchise QB?

    2. How long did it take for him to be the "Franchise QB" in your eyes?

    3. Why isn't VY afforded the "TIME" to become a "Franchise QB"?

    4. How fast should a #1 draft pick at QB be producing?

Like I said before, I have my concerns, but I honsestly believe that he will get it, don't know when but He will. He looked bad, plain bad yesterday, and I get as mad as the next man, but geez calling it homerism b/c we want to see the QB that we drafted be successful is CRAZY!

Good grief - It was not a literal comment - I suppose next you'll say he's got enough money to buy whatever he wants..
Why is someone a "hater" for making observations?
