I'm not saying that he cant win....I will say this though, I feel that he has a lot to prove before I'll jump on his bandwagon. I've never seen anything too impressive from him since he's been with the Titans. As for managing the team, why do you think he'll be better at than VY?:suspect:

He did that in his 6th season. All the years before that his TD-INT ratio wasn't much different than Vince's and he only averaged a 54% completion percentage. So maybe his wide receivers had something to do with that, too. Maybe they were the reason he only had one "OK" statistical season.

And I do think Vince is a better passer than Vick was.

Experience, knowledge, and hopefully a firm understanding of what we need most from the QB position. VY is too set on making plays sometimes, young buck syndrome.

I'm sure KFC would tell you that was on him and not his WRs.

I think Vick was a better passer, just FYI.

I agree with the experience part but I think VY's determination is a very BIG asset for us.

I can change my view. Hell, I just changed it last weekend. I went from supporting the dude to not just last Sunday. It's up to Vince. I'm not Ewker or someone who has always disliked the guy. Vince Young can change what I think. I said as much in my post. I even more or less said that I hope he does. I don't know what you are talking about with this human emotion crap but I will tell you this: I am not posting to change your mind or anyone else's. I'm posting and elaborating to be understood. I'm not asking you to think as I do. Also and I want to emphasize this as well. My reversal in how I feel about the guy is a result of a long span of time, a lot of incomplete passes and I mean sailing balls, a few boneheaded throws that came close to hurting our own wr's by setting them up to take a vicious hit. My judgment has come down over time. Sunday was more than I could handle as Vince was doing a better job beating the Titans than the Jags were.... however, what is this human emotion thing and this mistake you keep referring to? If it's about his Mom and his phone and being pissed off I don't care about that at all. (however it can be construed as telling) I don't really care about personal lives. Peyton Manning has a sham of a marriage. It wouldn't bother me if I were a Colts fan. The guy plays like a machine. The thing about being a quarterback is that you have to have a sense of amnesia. The only play that matters is the play that you're running. There is no room to get flustered or emotional about the last series, the last play, the first quarter... whatever. Amnesia. Vince has demonstrated that lacks the kind of mental strength to overcome the type of adverse challenges a qb faces. So, no sweetie, there is absolutely no room for "human emotion" out of the signal caller in the huddle or under center. If he wants to be emotional he should go be a wide receiver. According to some this team needs a good one.

OK, you want understanding...I understand where your comin from. I'm still believing VY has more than what we've seen, he has the coaches to help him improve and he will. Believe me you will be hearing from me then!

Is that what he does when he passes for just 42 yards while completing 6 of 14 in a win? Quit short changing the guys who won MANY of those games... just like the one Sunday. The idea that you credit VY with all those wins irritates me. I said the w/l record as it pertains to VY is bunk because it is.

That defense did not allow a touchdown to the Raiders and held the Raiders to just 92 yards rushing and 143 yards passing. The Tennessee defense harassed Daunte Culpepper into five sacks and batted five passes down at the line of scrimmage.

all thanks to Vince Young. :sarcasm:

HELLO? I wasn't comparing their experience, just the per game numbers.

But if you insist, here are Collins' numbers AS A STARTER in his first 2 seasons in the NFL:

    W-L 16-9
    Pass YPG 203.4
    Pass TD/INT 27/27

And that was with an expansion team.

My original point was that Collins has shown he can move the ball through the air at a good rate, so might have better success with this group of receivers than Young has...(or Simms would have)
