Very good article. It did a better job of summing up the teams than just about anything else I have seen on us. The Texans have the same odds as us! :bsflag:

What have we done in the past 4 years to generate respect? In all offensive categories we are far below average, we had 1 good defensive year during that span, and aside from Pacman who is now gone, we have no one who is electric on special teams. Kinda reminds me of a team like the Bucs or Panthers. And, they never get respect either, nor do they deserve it just like us.

 

The first 2 out of the last 4 years we were rebuilding. Of course we didn't do anything. And who cares how we will as long as we win? Would you rather be the Browns, who were explosive but did not make the playoffs? And the Bucs and the Panthers should get respect. The Bucs won a SB, and the Panthers almost did.

 

Good article, at least the author has a clue about us. BTW the only line that counts is
the opening line. After that it's just a popularity contest. Obviously the Titans are not popular nationally and thats the way I like it.

 

Moronic statement by bringing up Pacman. How electric was Pacman on the field last year? He has spent more time off the field than on it, so pacman being gone is a non-factor when comparing last year to this year.

 

But losing Pacman, one of the reasons we at least had a chance in the playoffs two years ago, doesn't help others outside TN to respect us. Add in that VY had a horrible soph year and the fact what most people see on ESPN are offensive highlights, something we didn't hardly have any of last year and it makes sense to me. Note, we also added an offensive player in the first round that isn't a household name.

We are stronger than the outside perception IMO but we probably aren't as deserving of respect, yet, as that Tennessee fans think.
