And VY got a (1)6. It does not make any difference is a player knows the capital city of Maine.

I've heard he and Dinger hang out after the OTAs, watch film and write plays together.

    Seriously?

Full-blown plays? Or just, like, humorous little skits to pass the time in training camp?

    ;)

Give me a one dimensional back any day!

    2002
    2003
    2007

The titans had a one dimensional RB and went to the playoffs. In 2003 our feature back averaged just 3.35 yards a carry yet our offense was 5th in the league in points scored. Defense and a great QB win games. Does it really matter who the RB is?

This was our RB production from last year.

    464 carries..............1684 yards............3.62 ypc

Looks like we could use a RB right? But i'm lying. That's actually the RB production from 2000.

The RB production for 2007 was this.

    436 carries..............1691 yards.............3.87 ypc

Almost identical right? Had a poster on a board like this dared to suggest we use our first rd pick on a RB after the 2000 season he would have got a royal arse kicking. You would have thought he was friggin nuts! So why after the 2007 season when the production was identical do we need one? We didn't need one!

What is more is that our RBs from last year were a lot younger.

    again..

    436 carries...............1691 yards.....3.87
    vs
    464 carries................1684 yards.....3.62

One set of numbers put a guy in the pro bowl and got him MVP votes. The other set of numbers was considered inadequate? How dumb is that?

Because 2000 was done by one player. 2007 was done by three.

Because one of those three is gone, the other is pretty much called a bust so really that leaves 303 carries at less adequate production.

One was done by one guy
The other was done by three.

And Eddie George isn't even relevant to a Chris Johnson thread. Completely different players.

    All meaningless points gunny.

Whether our rushing yardage comes from one guy or 2 doesn't matter at all. All i'm looking at is results. The results this year were comparable or even better than any year this team made the playoffs.

Thank you for admitting we used a 1st rd pick just to replace chris brown. We could have kept brown and not used a single draft pick.

Average RB yard per carry during our winning years..

    1999--4.04

    2000--3.62

    2002---3.56

    2003--3.37

    2007---3.87

So why in the bleep was it so important this year to draft a RB?

We did not need to draft a RB there were many less costly options.

Our RBs last year gave us almost 1700 yards rushing, 45 pass receptions and almost 2000 total yards. The average ypc was higher than most years this team made the playoffs. Posters on these boards will call lendale an underachiever, chris brown a POS and henry a bust but those 3 backs gave us the exact same production we got from eddie george and rodney thomas all those years.
