SUMMARY: Chris Hope made a decision after his season ended last year due to a spinal cord injury. He wanted to remain a part of the team. "You can sort of react a couple different ways to an injury," LB Ryan Fowler said. "You can go in the hole and sulk about it. Or you can support your team. And Chris absolutely, 100 percent supported his team. He stayed around, came to practices, helped out with the younger guys. An injury like that is scary to see. It's great to see that he's fully recovered from that." He gained more respect from his teammates because of it and now is more inspired to have a big season. "Everything I went through, I count it as a blessing," said Hope. "I look forward to it as a new opportunity to become a new player, and a better player."

Hopefully he'll be back 100% because we'll need him.

I hope so. I just can't get that image of his tonic-clonic activity in his legs and arms while he was on the ground after the hit. His spinal cord took a huge knock.

I don't think I could get my mind right after such a significant injury.

Yeah but it could also have a bit to do with the backup of Calvin Lowry who filled in quite nice I thought.

That was the scariest injury I've seen in a titans game in a while. Hope that he's completely recovered. I didn't think that he'd ever come back.

I have to say it was indeed one of the scariest Titan injuries I've ever seen, and I did think it was seriously downplayed by the national media. Guess Kevin Everett stole everyone's heart or something. The weird thing about it though, I never thought for a second that he wouldn't return, this season. I don't even know how to explain it myself. Not saying he's super human, or that I didn't think it was a serious injury. Just thought that a man like Hope could bounce back from it.
