Looking at the box scores, outside of his Jr. year when he was injured, it's hard to find many games where he wasn't effective. In the games where he was slowed down running the ball he has 100 + yards receiving and a td, etc. There's hardly any games he wasn't effective in

I don't think Chris Johnson is a bad pick or a bad player, it is just that taking him only underscores how bad a pick Chris Henry was last year....

i don't know how many times i have to say it; brian westbrook is a complete running back. he can run inside, he can pass protect and he can also do the dynamic things.

right now, the only thing chris johnson has proven he can do on the college level is be a fast guy against lower competition. he's not an inside runner, he's not a good pass protector, but he can catch and is fast.

make him a WR and you'll have my interest.

He's shown he can run inside, outside, catch, return on special teams.
And I'm betting Westbrook wasn't a great blocker coming out of college.

Brian Westbrook has only been an "every down back" for the last 2 seasons
his season high in carries his first 4 years was only 177

They both ran 4.2/4.3, but Chris Henry is listed at 230, Chris Johnson at 197.

MR seems like a numbers guy to me, which can work, but he's just as responsible for their failure as he would be for their success. There has to be accountability, or you become the Lions or the Jets. If you gamble, that's cool, but if you lose, you should lose. He's accountable for these picks (and not in years 6 and 7 of his tenure).

ummmm No. Chris Henry ran a 4.40 flat at the combine, tied for fastest last year, but nowhere near 4.2 or 4.3

    Chris Johnson ran a 4.24.

The rest of your post is right I believe. MR is tied to these guys, and hopefully they will be successful.
