his per game average (scrimmage) led the nation last year

This pick would have been fine if the Titans didn't draft Chris Henry last year.

I was thinking the same thing. He's not even on my top 100 list.

I've calmed down, did a bit of research... and now I'm not that upset to be honest. The highlight film showed me many, many, many moments where my mouth was left open. I know that a highlight film is just that, the best moments of a career I'm still happy with the pick. With our system, a RB does have more value than a WR. This kid can most def catch the ball and move after the catch, something that decides D. Jack I didn't see on the board, but this guy has the strength that D. Jack will never have. Don't forget that there is more than 1 round in the draft, and I feel we got the best talent that was on the board. I was obviously ignorant before the draft about him, but now I can't find anything about the kid that I don't like. Gun to my head, I'd say injuries MIGHT be an issue, but that the nature of the sport, and position. I'll say I like him better than Henry already, premature as that might be, seeing them side by side, I'd pick CJ. I'm surprised with all the *****ing last year about LW, that there wouldn't be more praising the heavens that we got a possible replacement. LenDale is a bum, but you aren't happy to get someone with EXTREME speed, the one thing I hear is holding us back. I swear sometimes it seems we could trade Donnie Nickie for LT, and people would have a problem with it somehow... cap room probably.

Sorry. You are right I was looking at 2006 stats. Still those stats are nothing to right home about for a first rounder.

Hold on, Sparky. You have to look at this from our perspective. To some of us, we see Johnson as only a third-down RB/returner due to his size. Yes, his speed is impressive but do you see him being a strong WR who has the ability to stretch the field? That is the biggest need of the Titans offense.

I don't think anyone is doubting his playmaking abilities. But does it translate to the NFL as well as a Devin Thomas could have?
