Let's see if we can package Pacman and a draft pick for him. Maybe it would work. They could use Pacman, heck they can use all of the good football players they can get.

And, there's lots of crime in Miami. I'm sure he'd fit right in there.

Pacman wouldn't last in Miami... especially with Parcells in charge

I don't think the price would be an issue.

You know Miami is dying to move to a 3-4 and Taylor is not a fit in that scheme. They talked about trying him at OLB, but I think at his age, putting him in space is a big risk.

Under his current contract, his Base Salary this year is $7.5m and next year is $8m. If we converted some of that to SB (say $5m) and reduced his base salaries, so that he would earn the same total amount, I don't see why he would baulk at it. It would essentially be a similar hit to Odom's contract, and I think that would be reasonable value. Could also be off-set by releasing Fisher.

The main issue is compensation to the Dolphins. For 10 years, the Dolphins have been Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor and a bunch of scrubs. They have already let Thomas go, and so letting Taylor go for anything less than market value would be a disastrous PR move. It would take at least a 2nd to get him, if not multiple picks.

The other issue is our small market. Taylor wants to be a movie star. I would imagine he would prefer to play in a big market team, so he doesn't become the forgotten man. All other things being equal, teams around New York and LA would be his preference.

Peppers-AH-KVB on the D-line, wow! That would be crazy awesome.

I dunno about Jason Taylor. I'm against giving a high draft pick for someone who isn't likely to be in the league much longer. I'd pass unless it's third round or higher.
