Givens expected to be released next week

I was wondering what happened to him. Who do you think they'll try to bring in next?

 

if i was gm i'd work my hardest to get VY targets obviously...an gettin a good receiver/blockin TE in crumpler would be my first choice w/ bo an alge i see a lot nice short pass options....but we need speed....think barrian...he's got the deep speed we need as does stally...if we could land one of them...that would be a nice receiver corps to work w/ (assuming we resign gage and roydell continues to work at his game....) ...leavin young no excuses

personally i want the one w/ better hands....where r the nfl ticket fans...who drops less passes stally or bernard

 

So does that mean we have even more cap room or will he still count this season?

 

If we reach a settlement to medically retire him we're free & clear without taking a hit on his bonus money.

I just remember the play when he blew his knee. No contact with anyone,he just went down on a seemingly nothing move.I still find it hard to believe his knee had so much damage when he was hardly even moving.

 

Does anyone have any video of that injury? I didn't see it live and haven't been able to find it.

 

do u think he'll be able to re-start his career w/ such a lingering injury....i do feel bad for him...but hey at least he's rich....w/ the contract we gave him...he's quite ballin i assume. an even if he cant restart his career he seems like a bright guy. btw i gotta question...after a superbowl win...do the owners reward players w/ money? kinda like soccer...win the cup get a million type thing...?

 

As far as I know, the only guaranteed bonus are the rings (which are worth a lot). But he had about 10 catches in the SB so he probably got a big binus for that.
