my summary on Adam Jones is that he's one of the luckiest and unluckiest people on the face of the planet .. all at the same time

he also strikes me as someone who can't get out of his on way

i know this is not what you're looking for
but it's how I see it

Basically, all of his court dates are dealt with, but he's now a convicted felon (part of the no contest plea in the ATL case) so Goodell has no more reason to delay a judgement, and I really hope he says something soon because it greatly affects our needs/priorities in FA and the draft.

Goodell has used Jones to make a point that he as the commissioner can do what the heck he wants when it comes to an nfl player.

Jones has managed to rub Goodell up the wrong way & until he can reconcile with Goodell in some way he may never wear an NFL uniform again.

I think it was more along the lines of rubbing up all of nashville, all the titans players, all the titans fans, the whole nfl and the whole world the wrong way. he needs to actually be put in jail. No way can any regular human being break the law that many times and not actually land in jail for at least one of those things. The guy is a moron, i don't care how good he plays, being a moron shouldn't be rewarded.

Don't expect Pacman to be reinstated. He is a longshot for reinstatement at best. What Goodell wanted to see from Jones was lasting change. He wanted to see Pacman ammend his lifestyle. Personally, I really think that it's unfair for Goodell to set the bar high for Jones while minimalizing other junk that goes on with other players. However, the terms were laid out before Jones and I'm quite sure his counsel explained to him what he needed to do. He really didn't deliver at all in my opinion. Not being brought up on a new murder charge or not executing a school bus full of children really doesn't cut it. Pacman needed to impress Goodell by becoming a superlative citizen that represented the NFL well. He kinda owed it to the league for all the bad press. He did to a small extent do this but nowhere near enough for the publics perception of him to change. Jones just didn't work at it. Mailing it in is not enough to put him back on track. That being said, I recognize the talent that Jones has and I'd liuke to see him play but I know I'd regret it.

No but talent should be rewarded as well as patience that many Titans fans have had waiting on him to get back in a uniform to help us win a superbowl. And before its all said and done PacMan will look like a saint compared to the Patriots after they are shown for who they really are, cheaters. That is what will have a much more lasting effect on the NFL, not PacMan's "incidents". Goodell is nothing more than a corrupt person in power and he has shown that with PacMan and will be shown even more now with the Patriots incident. For God sake he had evidence that showed the patriots cheating burned. He is hurting the NFL's reputation and integrity more than PacMan ever could.
