Not much debating that. But then again, nobody mentions the fumble they gave the giants either. People don't really care to how it happened. The Patriots lost. That's all that matters.

Had the refs brought the chains otu then they would have stopped the clock, well the refs wasted about the same amount of time trying to figure out wether or not they had the first down as they would have had they brought the chains out. Also, as for tapping the ref to call the timeout, coaches are allowed to do whatever they have to to get the refs' attention to call a timeout. I also like how he acts like the game wouldn't have been played any differently if the Giants had had less time.

 

That's the one thing that matters is how the giants would have ran different plays with the clock running correctly.

 

Not only that, but you noticed how when a Patriots defender was close to the player, but not close to the ball, it still became a fight for the ball. That's worthy of a delay of game penalty. If the referees simply decided not to reward them with the time they spent wrestling on the ground, I'm just as happy.
