Especially when we used to play the Steelers. They would drop the ends into coverage and blitz the corners, we wouldn't have a clue what to do and Warren would eat turf. Against most other teams it used to work quite well tho.

    Finally...somebody else gets it!

You attempt to do more than your personell is capable of doing. If Tom Brady was our QB, we'd still play "Fisherball" because one top-notch person isn't the entire personell. You have to have all positions capable and gelling as one robust unit in order to gear an offense around attempting 50 passes/15 long bombs per game.

Our personell (not just one or three particular pieces...the entire group) has to be "gelling" as one robust unit in order to be a pass-heavy team.

It's going to be very interesting to see how this all plays out. The offense could open up...but that could also be a game by game decision. I don't think we'll have a clue until this season starts.

Stevie Wonder could see that the team's problem was lack of point scoring. Only the Texans can be beat with a bunch of field goals.

Bid is an old man with very little patience. Jeff's strategy wasn't winning games. Chow became the scapegoat to save his job. If they don't score points this season, look for Fisher to get fired.

  7. Oh yeah, Bud's gonna fire Fisher with 3 years left on his $6M per year contract.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

It's a juggling act to build a roster that can win before the core players become too expensive, old or both to keep. The D is now ok but it will see player turnover this season & become more expensive for the same level of play.

The O will be much more expensive next year if it's going to be a better unit.Fisher is going nowhere.

We need the Pacman scenario resolving before the draft & ideally we need Givens to retire so that he doesn't hurt us if we have to cut him & take a hit on his bonus money.

I agree with childress .... Fisher has no worries about his job right now. He took a #32 D to a #6(?) and has continued an upward win total over the last couple of seasons. Fisher ball works with a little more passing game. We had none this season.

At this stage in life, Bud may not care about the money, just a chance to win.
