Totally agree with you. Not many people have talked about Tamme. Really like Jones especially if we can get him in the 3rd.

I have to believe that Charles will be gone by the 3rd--if not, he made a huge mistake coming out. I think his measurables alone get him drafted before the 3rd--look at Henry, and Charles has better measurables and was almost twice as productive in college.

    Henry who?

Jamal Charles was HUGELY productive in college, Chris Henry had like 400 yards rushing for his entire college career. What do you mean almost 2 times as productive?

Charles will be gone by our 2nd rounder. I think we should trade up for him, he's the explosive back we are missing in the run game. Him or Felix Jones I think we need to target and trade up in the second to get one.

I'm not sure about Slaton... He's fast but that's it. Mediocre ability to break tackles or juke guys.

In the 2nd round, sure. But I'd rather have Jamal Charles or Felix Jones.... or Stewart, or Mendenhall.

Every back is a stud right? Let's draft them all!

Is it me or do the Titans need better offense of plays, especially in passing...

I know the Titans don't have much of receivers but those plays that Norm Chow are just plain simple. I think that Norm Chow has a lot of improvement to be done for next year.

    Go Titans

I just said I'm not that high on Slaton in the post that you selectively quoted... so no, not every running back is going to be a stud. Last year in fact I said that the Chris Henry pick was IDIOTIC. The year before I thought the Lendale pick was great, and I think that is panning out.

Stewart and Mendenhall are very similar and if they get picked by a team that values one cut and go power running (like the Broncos, maybe Atlanta depending on what the new coach wants, US, maybe Buffalo) they will succeed BIG. The kicker is that they have very good speed as well.

Felix Jones and Jamal Charles however are the guys I'd like to see us target. Lendale already fills our need for a power runner in short yardage situations (so the skills overlap with Mendenhall and Stwart). Felix Jones and Jamal Charles are EXPLOSIVE runners with elusiveness which nobody on our roster at any position has (except Vince). Jones has the benefit of being a darn good kick returner. Draft guys that have BOTH physical tools and collegiate production against top level talent (i.e. the SEC, Texas, USC, Oklahoma, OSU and Michigan) for your first day picks (because that translates to the NFL); it really isn't that hard.
