What is so genius about sitting on the ball and letting the clock run when the other team clearly doesn't care about the outcome of the game? seems pretty simple to me, get out with no injuries and get ready for next week?

What I was amazed with is Henry popped up and trotted off like it was nothing.

Is it true that Baltimore let Billick go?

ahh...Chris Henry and his "running with my eyes closed" style. I can't believe he didn't fumble that

I was listening to Sirius NFL Radio this afternoon (Moving the Chains show), and the hosts were interviewing Bart Scott and Ray Lewis. One of the hosts had just finished asking Scott and Lewis if the owner of the team had approached them with the question on whether Billick had "lost" the team when the host apparently saw the newswire about Billick's press conference come across his desk. He basically "point blanked" Scott and Lewis about whether they knew that their coach had been whacked, and got a very muted (almost speechless) response.

    So much for proper notifications...

Came back from the Falls festival today (so friggin' knackered, three nights of partying, sleeping in a dreadful tent, dealing with mid-30's to 40 degree weather, and catching a lift home from some random who happened to pick me up off the side of the road) with no knowledge of how the game turned out, and got to watch it off the HD as though it was live. I'm ecstatic. Congratulations boys, we've done it. We've broken into the playoffs. Not as convincingly as I'd hoped, but we're in, and we can get back at those Chargers. WOOOOOOOOOO!!!

EDIT: Also, congratulations Kerry f'in Collins. For a man so maligned by myself and others, he's been an integral part of our playoff spot. He won us that game in Houston, and did damn fine on Sunday as well. Funnily enough, when I saw Vince pulled, I wasn't filled with dread. Actually I was rather confident to actually see some good passing out there, Kerry really squeezed 'em in good.
