SUMMARY: As the Titans entered their final game of the regular season last year, they had a shot for a playoff spot but knew they needed help. This season, it's simple. “Last year’s situation was a lot different,” Titans coach Jeff Fisher said. “You had [three] different things that had to happen in addition to us beating a really good football team. So I think even though you stay focused, you work and try to do everything you can to win the game, I think that probably in the back of some of the players’ minds, they didn’t anticipate all of those scenarios working out. There’s one scenario this week, and that’s try to score one more point than [the Colts] do. It’s very simple.”

I hope Nick Hrper plays because if he doesn't play, they are going to pick on R. Hill all day long at the corner! Keep R. Wayne & D. Clark on check cause that is the 2 major weapons huge head P. Manning has!! Addai we kept in in check the last time, watch the little screen pass to # 44 on the blitz.. GO TITANS!!

    Correction: There are 2 scenarios.

-Score one more point than they do.
-Keep them from kicking a last second field goal. :suspect:

I love this teams chances Sunday. My questions to you is this:
Has Vince Young improved or regressed versus last year?
Has the receiving corp improved or regressed versus last year?
Will PacMan return next year? ( the Titans miss his game changing abilities)
Is Chow going to return next year and if not do you elevate someone to OC
or do you search for someone outside of the organization?
How much is Albert really worth?
What does this team look for in the draft in April?

    peace

ok i think that we have a really good chance of winning sunday, the colts dont care either they loose or win this finale so they'll put in 2nd string after 1st half and thats when we'll still the show and get beat 1st round in the playoffs

I don't see what's any different from last year. I feel the same result is on the way too. Blown out by 2nd stringers.

Welcome to the forum. You could have a thread on each of these topics.

    Some quick answers:
    1. He has regressed, IMO. But teams are defending him now and the Titans may be asking more of him as far as going through his progressions, etc. He has seemed tentative at times this season which is hopefully something which improves with experience.

    2. I think the WRs group has been about the same as last year if not slightly regressed. Brandon Jones hasn't made the strides I think many had hoped. Roydell Williams is hit and miss. Gage is a pleasant surprise. Honestly, there is no one on the team right now which is a deep threat even if Young could get him the ball.

    3. I think Pacman will be back. Many disagree with me on this. I don't think the Titans will get enough value for him on a trade and he's too good a player to outright release. We'll have to wait for it to play out.

    4. Chow will be with us until he gets a college head coach job somewhere. Fisher will be loyal to him until he resigns.

    5. Albert is worth being paid the most of anyone who has ever played his position IF he plays like he did the first half of the season. Question is, "Is it worth paying Albert top money based on his top 8-10 games or the other 86-88 where he's been fairly mediocre if he's played at all?" I think we'll see him tagged for '08 to find out or a contract with a ton of incentives that could make him the top-paid DT ever.

    6. As for the '08 Draft, much depends on how many players the Titans lose to free agency AND bring in during that time. I think WR may be addressed in both free agency and the draft. There are serious needs on the DL depending on how things work out. A top TE is needed as well. Safety may be a need depending on how Hope is after surgery. Mawae and Olson are not getting any younger. Hentrich may retire.

How 'bout score ALOT MORE points than the colt's do? Then you don't have to worry about protecting a lead, or watching a prevent us from winning defensive scheme as soon as we get ahead. Do what the pats do, pile the points on.

That would be easy if we WERE the Pats, but we are who we are...
