i was a reggie bush fan, USC fan, still am. I felt confused and angry when they lost the nation championship to texas and VY. but that is when i fell in love with VY(not being gay) but i liked him more than lienart. I wanted the titans to draft young as soon as i heard he was coming out. I prayed they wouldnt draft lienart and i was scared feeling as if we would draft him. I missed the draft cuz i had baseball, but i was driving home listening to the titans pick and when they draft young, i cried. I was so freaking excited cuz i loved VY and now that he was my favorite teams QB, heck i was excited to death. So yeah it bothers me to see VY doing bad sometimes, but im not gonna give up faith, or hope in young. I will support him till the end. But even though most of us crack on him, i still think we all have vioce inside that says...damn VY is our QB. (in a good way)

I just thought id throw that out, being that VY is having an up and down year

    As for VY
Last year, he showed us he can carry us to wins, and he is a playmaker
This year, in some games, he showed he could be great passer
I think this guy can be great, he just needs some help at the Wr position

    It was a heartbreaker.
But still, we played well most of the game.

All of these "pick a coach to fire" posts amuse me. As if anyone really tried to lose it.
But for a few bad calls, and a failed conversion or two, we would have won. And most of the teams we beat can say the same thing.

    You heard it here first

No playoffs for the Titans. Yeah, I know, 3 games left and anything can happen. Perhaps I should just believe against all hope. But, I can't and I won't. I still root for them and support them. But, I repeat, no playoffs for the Titans. They can't seem to gain control of their own future. And, none of these other playoff hopeful AFC teams are likely to hand it to them. Oh well, I'm used to this almost good enough team by now. Aren't you?

A lot of people seem to be getting mad here about this game. We kicked butt most of the game. I mean you keep running LT into a well wore-out defence and he'll eventually get through. Now maybe we could have made that one kick, maybe there catch could have gotten turned over, maybe Griffin could have broken up that last touch down. My thought after the game, however is couldn't the Titans throw a long-bomb when backed up at the end, instead of a titans-typical run run pass. Either 1, it's caught-touchdown/firstdown, 2, incompleat, 3, intercepted which case if you get it far enough out then you still have some space to catch him. But I guess you can "what if" all day.

Those of you who hold out hope for us still making the playoffs need to save that same hope for something more probable. For one, last year, we needed the perfect storm to happen for us to make the playoffs, and it did only for our destiny to be handed to us on a silver platter and a win gets us in.....IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. Say what you will about last years team, but we had more moxy, more determination, and more "Destiny", than this years team, and we still came up short. Don't expect "The Perfect Storm" to occur again this year. Besides, we have demonstrated no level of consistency anytime during the second half of the season. WE DON'T DESERVE TO BE IN THE PLAYOFFS. While most playoff ready teams are hitting, winning close games, winning the ones they are SUPPOSED to win, we are fading away like a dream where you are getting with the girl you've always wanted, and just as you're about to get action, the alarm clock rings and wakes you up.

The alarm clock just rang fellas, did you hear it???

Good point, Zell. This was a game we needed to win to deserve to make the playoffs. We haven't earned it, and I don't even really want to stumble in because the other teams all lose. We should still fight the good fight the last three games, but the playoffs aren't happening.

Frustrating ending today. But man, great game. The stadium was alive, the noise was great, and the team came to play.

I don't think you can ask much more than what our defense gave today. The chargers have some serious offensive potential, and we came out geared up and shut them down most of the game. The got their 1st 1st down on the last play of the first quarter. But our offense lost it for us today. We needed to build a lead in the first half. Gloat, I think it was you, excellent post about our playcalling on third and short. Running on 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2 should be a given, with only occasional variation.

We couldn't get points when we needed them to seal the deal on the game. If I'd been told that the defense would hold the chargers to 17 points at the start of the game, I would have taken that in a heartbeat. We needed more from the offense. Vince stepped up to run twice, but looked hesitant and got nowhere when he easily could have had more. He looked bad today. Even with him looking bad, I question how soft the playcalling was. We didn't throw a single pass over 25 yards. I don't mean that we didn't catch one, I mean we didn't throw one. You've got to give it a shot sometimes.

Disappointing ending, but a heck of a fight to watch. I lost my voice before overtime even started. To the people criticizing the D, I'm not sure what you're looking for. Those guys were dead tired by the last drive, and couldn't get some rest. We aren't deep enough on D to stay on the field that long. I knew going into overtime that if the chargers got the ball, we didn't have much of a chance. Still, the Defense stopped them. They got an amazing punt that 28 should have fair-caught. Their coverage was excellent, and our offense, once again, did nothing. You can't win games that way.

    That being said, Go Titans.

You are damn right Tennessee doesn't belong in the playoffs. I really think this was a "crushing" defeat.. Titans were up 3-17... allow 14pts in the fourth and then roll over and present like a dog in heat in the 4th quarter and O.T. Now the season is over. (realistically) Sure, there were some tough breaks but there wasn't anything that couldn't have been overcome... but what concerns me the most is the way the defense completely shifted their method of operation in the second half. I sound like a lot of other people who rag Schwartz but it's not unwarranted. I wish that Bozo would leave. His endgame strategies are intolerable.

BP, I disagree. The defense showed up in the second half, but they wore down at the end. You could see it happening, and I don't think it was much of a change in scheme. In the third quarter, they gave up one play on the first possession, but then held them to the FG. Their next two possessions, while we were scoring, were an INT, and a three and out. First possession of the first quarter, they get 1 first down, then punt again. Then our offense posts a three and out, and they're back on the field again.

Yes, they gave up those last two drives, and that's a big letdown. But I don't attribute it entirely to the scheme. They wore down, and couldn't keep holding LT. Let's not forget that they effectively stopped the chargers on the final drive, both on the third down call that was reversed into a drop, and the fourth down call that should have been. That could have been game over, with us praising the D all week long.

Also, in overtime, tired as they were, the D made a stop, we got a chance and the ball back. I know the field position was bad, but we didn't get a first down, and then asked the D to go right back out again. It was too much.
