I want him back, not because I think he'll see the field this season, but because I want to see Goodell cave in. Goodell has been on my ****list for a number of reasons. If Pacman came back now, it wouldn't count as a contract year. Also, should the Titans make it to the playoffs, and Harper or Finnegan is hurt, I could see Pacman playing.

Thank you Vigsted for seeing the issue clearly. The NFLPA is challenging the principles (or methods if you prefer) upon which Goodell administered and determined the punishment. The NFLPA is "pro-player" interest moreso than "pro-Pac" interest. Goodell clearly overstepped his boundaries/authority with his inconsistent administration. Many players have expressed their concerns that the same lack of consistency could be applied to their own situations in the future. THAT is what the NFLPA is appealing about.

I don't see how anybody could say that he would not be valuable as a starting KR or PR this year. It could possibly make a difference in one of the few remaining "must win" games or possibly the first play-off game if we make it. No way should he start at CB but he would be an upgrade as a back-up versus Reynaldo Hill.

The benefits of his KR/PR skills IMO far outweigh the "FICTIONAL" extra year on his contract. Anybody knows that an "unhappy" player is worthless and likely to move on when the situation isn't right. I find it similar to the bad feelings generated when a franchise tag is placed on a player.

Just my thoughts. Like him or not- he got screwed by the system. I hope none of you people that are so bent on destroying him ever have to face a similar arbitrary policy enforcement in your workplace.

It's those kind of comments that have made you lose credibility in your arguements, imo.

None of us are bent on destroying him.... Pacman has done and is still doing that himself.

If he ends up on another team I'm not going to be happy. The Titans would be that much better with him next year.

You have to be kidding right. I'll bet I can find 5 posts in 5 minutes where somebody says: "shoot him" or "He is a piece of crap" or "he is a thug" etc.

I have never excused him from accountability for his actions. My arguments have ALWAYS been about due process.

    :truedat:

He was becoming as fearful as Hester on punt returns before he blew it with his actions off the field.

The Titans could have one of the most boring set of kick-off/punt returners in the league right now.

I'm a titans fan first and a "good citizen" fan second, so of course, i'd want him back.

    Really? how is that?
I'm under the impression that if he played one game or 16, its still considered a contract year.

Thats not the subject of this thread. I want him back next season too.
But I'm greedy and want him until 2010 instead of 2009 and would rather sacrifice a game or two of bench time with 16 games of playtime.

He's still trade bait next year as far as i'm concerned, but if he did manage to return a few kicks this year i'd be happy.
