I probably read your post six times in proofing my own reply. I'm thorough. You said, "Kiffen has been putting a halfway decent product on the field so far this year." So far this year, eh? That includes the last six they have lost. The Raiders are garbage and you know it. Their offensive and defensive rankings that I cited attest to that. By the way, good teams score more points than their defense allows. I'm not sure but I think that is the secret to winning a ball game, something that has only happened twice to the Raiders.

You know, the Falcons are the NFC team in my market that get broadcast most Sundays opposite the CBS game which is almost always the Titans, unless the Titans are at home and are hosting an NFC opponent, in which case I am at the stadium in Nashville. You said you watched Williams as a Lion play the Bears twice a year. That doesn't sound like a late game to me. Odds are those games were on opposite the Titans. It's not a leap. I don't watch the Falcons on Fox, btw.
We should ask Norm Chow because this is obviously his baby. I guess on the NFL level the answer would be very little but if there was any chance at all that Chow could bring out the player this guy was back at school it's worth a shot. Trick question though. Williams hasn't done anything to deserve this. He is fortunate he's getting the shot. Odds are it won't work out at all. Doesn't make any other options we have more deserving though.
I wouldn't say never. That would be inaccurate. It might as well be never because he wasn't ever anyone I was sure to watch. Last year the Lions played the Dolphins on Thanksgiving Day. Look man, I know the guy sucks, but there is a chance he can pull his career out of the toilet. If Mike Williams can't run fast or catch a ball he wouldn't get a shot with Tennessee. You are just smack talking at this point.

I never said he was the next Terry Bradshaw. I never said he was HOF. I said his NFL comeback was his best days. You said his best days were in the XFL. I disagree. I believe that starting for a team with a winning record, guiding them deep into the post season and later hanging around as depth for a SB ring is way better than anything the XFL offered. Don't clarify about Charlie Batch either. I indicated in my post that he had slipped to #3 that year. I don't understand your need to restate things I have previously posted. Oh, and by they way, mentioning that he had good receivers doesn't take anything away from the guy.
I guess his NFL career is better than his XFL one then? :suspect: What does Sorgi have to do with anything? Did he start for the Colts before Peyton Manning came along? Like it or not Maddox at one time was a productive starter. That's something Jim Sorgi has never been.

Then what is your issue? You think you know more than our Head Coach or Offensive Coordinator or what? You've never even have met Williams. Who are you to tell us that our front office doesn't know what they are doing? I bet you would have been all over them for signing Kyle Vanden Bosch too? A no name, often injured draft bust? Huh? Is that how you looked at KVB? Because that is what he was to most anyone around the league. Now look at him. He's a premier defensive end. KVB did next to nothing to "deserve" a shot with the Titans. Who cares what someone "deserves"?
Again, I'm not comparing T.O. to Mike Williams. I am comparing the disposition of people in regards to their feelings about the guys. They are very similar. Like I said before, 90% of everyone felt at one time that T.O. was a cancer and would not work out anywhere. Here maybe 90% (if not more) of everyone feels that Mike Williams is a waste. If all those people were wrong about T.O. it could stand to reason that they could be wrong about Williams.

What do we really know about his attitude? If his attitude was that bad he would not have been offered a deal. Do you think that our front office is retarded? There is obviously plenty that they know that we don't. Our front office "wisely" stayed away from T.O. Hindsight 20/20 would Owens have been a good addition to the Titans?

Yes, earlier this year. The fact is though, even if the team isnt winning, the actually LOOK like a team this year, rather than last year. They are still rebuilding and Kiffen will be the guy that is going to turn them around. I wouldnt say that Chow has turned our offense around even a little bit.

Maybe, instead of making your own little videos with hands, you should turn on the TV and watch the Raiders play.

Because its truly impossible that my Dad and brother are Bears fans and tape all the games--which I usually watch after the Titans game. I know--truly crazy talk.

Talking smack or speaking the truth? In the Oakland game, which Im sure you saw, how fast did BMW look? How were his hands? Slow and bad. Him getting a shot in Tennessee is questionable and you know it. Chow is just doing it so in the miniscule chance that Mike turns out to be an actual player, he'll get the credit and fame, which will eventually translate into a HC job at the NFL or college level. Now you tell me that doesnt sound too obvious.

This is basically pointless, since its about Tommy Maddox. i was clearly being sarcastic when I said his best days were in the XFL, sorry if you couldnt catch a joke. ANd by the way, making it to the second round of the playoffs doesnt qualify as "deep".

No he doesnt have a better career, but that wasnt my point. The fact is he did as much as Maddox did in each teams respective SB run.

My issue is that a bum with no work ethic who has skipped practice in the past is getting more of a chance than our guys who have been working hard all offseason. Thats my problem. Kyle in Arizona was actually a hard worker. He came back from his injuries. He actually worked. You cant say that about Mike. Im all for bringing guys in--but I want guys who actually want to play and show it.

So, all of a sudden, after 11 weeks of normalcy, TO isnt a cancer? Dont you think that might be because the Cowboys are winning? Because last year if I remember correctly he wasnt exactly the best teammate. Mike has been given 2 good chances to succeed and he's wasted them. He's still lazy as can be and I really doubt he'll get in good enough shape to make an impact this year. But thats just wishful thinking that he actually works.

What do we know about his attitude? Seriously, do you just shun away every NFL news-info thats not on the Titans? He skipped voluntary practices his rookie year, and Im pretty sure he was fined for missing mandatory practices the same year. The guy needs an attitude adjustment, its obvious.

TO wasn't happy last year with Bledsoe, because he felt like Drew wasn't throwing his way enough.

The instant that Romo started, TO was happy because he was getting the ball (and they were winning of course).

I doubt the Titans have guaranteed Williams anything except his last opportunity to prove he belongs in the NFL. I don't think adding him impacts anyone currently on the roster until next season when everyone has to play their way onto the roster. And the Titans will get back Givens, probably use a high pick on another WR and/or bring in a free agent to add to the mix.

I give MW a 20% chance he'll be on the roster for the regular season opener in '08.
