I watched a game that had the Pats playing ..... whomever ... whereas the Pats were having their usual way with the other team. So they decided to send Brady to the lockerroom and change clothes.
With Brady out of the game, the Pats started to loose control of the game and the coach had to tell him to go back to the lockerroom and put his uni back on. Then the Pats went on to win the game. Hummmmmm. No rocket science degree needed here. Screw the RBs and WRs and concentrate on the QB. Take Brady out of the game, you have a chance.
What does that have to do with the Titans? Haynesworth is out of 2 games and we loose them both. Up there with Brady? No. But simular situation, a dominoe effect.
Both Haynesworth and KVB require double coverage. Who has enough players on offense to do that? If you double one of them, you'll be running away from the other one. With Hayesworth out of the game, you double KVB on every play and take him completely out of the game. Now, QBs like Cutler have all day sitting in the pocket trying to figure out who Reynoldo Hill is SUPPOSE to be covering.
How much are the Titans willing to pay to keep Haynesworth?

They need to pay him whatever he wants. Essentially they could hand him a blank check and it'll be worth it.

People need to face reality, our defense has been overachieving by a LARGE margin all year long. Part of the reason they've played so well is because of Haynesworth. He is so dominant that he forces teams to change their gameplan and forces our defense to change their gameplan.

You could probably take away 80 yards rushing and 14 points from Denver and Jacksonville if Haynesworth is in there.

Cincy is praying that Haynesworth will be benched. The Vegas odds will probably change once the word is given as to his playing statis.
Haynesworth can be confusing. From 'Headstomper' to (more than likely) the Pro Bowl.
    Overweight to dominating fixture.
Attitude problem to, again, dominating fixture.
Fighting with players on the practice field to leadship of the front line.
    Dominating fixture to hamstring, again.
Remembering what Philly offered Kearse, I'm wondering which idiot team is going to step up and offer Haynesworth their entire salary cap. Baltimore?
It's not in the Titans history to match offers like that. Loosing him is going to have a big effect on this teams future.

We'll have Haynesworth for at least another season. Franchise Tag. We could actually franchise him 2 years in a row but that is unlikely.

One player can make a big difference, especially if they're dominating the way Haynesworth has been. I don't think you can use the quarterback position and the DT position to make comparisons though. That being said, there should not be as big of a drop off in production as there has been. I mean we have barely put a hand on the qb in the last two games. If you're missing a great player you have to do other things with the gameplan to compensate for the loss and that has not been done. I think Schwartz has been exposed. He is still the same coach that fielded one of the worst defenses in the league last year. Until this point Haynesworth has been masking most of his shortcomings.

Even Hill would of played better if Al was playing. He has that much effect on the team.Give him what he wants i say.

One player clearly does make a difference. Depending on what role they serve. Haynesworth helps the run D and the Pass D, so without him, everything on D changes.

Haynesworth is a difference maker. No question about that.

Reese didn't like to franchise players. I'll bet that idea left when he did. Black Bluto will be here next year.

Franchising players is usually not a very good or smart thing. It would be different if we had CAP problems and were trying to keep AH for one more year in a SB run but we need AH around for 4-5 more years. His contract isn't going to get any smaller after next year either.
