Raiders waive former first-round pick WR Williams

    Had Williams caught that pass was it really a first down? Just thought I'd ask cause I thought it looked like he would have been tackled before the first down mark.

    If we had Peyton Manning as our QB and liked to pass the ball alot you might have a point. However, because we are strickly a running team you don't give up your best blocking TE; unless you are sick and tired of seeing LW and Henry breaking off long runs to win us games.

    Hatsock is an excellent blocker, which of course usually goes unnoticed compared to his lack of receiving production. For what we do, he's an asset.

    Still, it'd help a lot to have a very good receiving and blocking TE.
