SUMMARY: For Titans fans, there are few things sweeter than going into Jacksonville and leaving with a win. It becomes even more sweet when it is the season opener and we wake this morning with the Titans 1-0 for the first time since 2004.

I loved watching Titans coach Jeff Fisher, Jags public enemy #1,* in the postgame interview. With a straight face he humbly said, "We didn’t know how we were going to be in the run game because every year is different so we passed our first test, a difficult test today.* It was a good win for this team, on the road against a very good team.”

Passed the test in the run game?
When you rack up 282 yards on 2006's fourth-best team in the league against the run (allowing a 91.2 yard average), that isn't just passing the test but like acing the Bar Exam or nailing a perfect score on the ACT. Or, gasp, making a 50 on the biggest test of them all -- the Wonderlic.

How long has it been since our D line had more tackles than our LBs? That's a good sign.

Don't understand the comment about vince young..

How is it a "step back"? He had a bad game. Good QBs can have a bad game. He is not a robot who improves incrementally a certain percent each game or each year. He is a human being who will have good games and bad ones. Is that what happened to drew brees thursday, he took a step back?

i think it might be a bit of a half step forward for young. he didn't play well, but he did improve against the jags defense.

Frankly, i'm so happy we won, but with all the mistakes in the first half particularly, I don't think we deserved this one.
this was a bad day for VY. thank fully Chris Brown and others had a good day and made some key play to make up for VY's performance.
I hope the team work to be stronger as a whole in havin more definative wins, and not depend on the mistakes of the other side to pull out a win.

Of course the Titans deserved this win. They fought harder, on the road, in the heat, and wanted it more than the Jags. The Titans didn't win because of mistakes by the Jags, there were mistakes by both teams, but the Titans didn't give up in the 4th quarter, while the Jags were having to substitute players because of the heat, the Titans TEAM held together.

The Titans absolutly DESERVED the win..

So because we made mistakes, we deserved to lose? When one of our players has a poor outting, we should lose? So despite our o-line and running backs DOMINATING, despite our d-line DOMINATING the line of scrimmage, despite our secondary playing quite well and minimizing big plays, including the run game, we still deserve to lose?

Watch the game again and re-think your position...

Young made several POOR choices about passes and run opportunities. He is only a second year qb. He'll keep getting better.

He's improving just like he did at UT. I predict only 3 or 4 more TDs than INTs this year. Next year will be his "26TD/10INT" year.
