    2. CB Cortland Finnegan, Tennessee Titans
Finnegan didn't receive a ton of playing time in 2006, but he more than held his own when he was on the field. His season-long YPA figure was a solid 7.3, and he got better as the season progressed. Over the last six games of the season, Finnegan allowed only 5.6 YPA on the passes directed at him. To be fair, Finnegan faced only 11 passes in that time, but four of the throws were either at the medium or bomb depth level. The Titans' secondary lost its best cornerback in Pacman Jones, so Tennessee will certainly benefit if Finnegan continues his development.

Nice to finally see somebody in the media finally sit up and take notice.

I've been a Finnegan fan every since week 1 of last year.....but watching back over some of the games, the more I see of him, the more impressed I become. All he did was make plays, and I don't recall a single time where he was beaten for a completion. (Well, except for some dink-and-dunk passes in front of him....but nothing that really hurt.)

I fully expect him to play a significant role in this team's turnaround.

Someone in our secondary had better.

Because with Pac out, that's were going to need the most help.

I see him taking over the #2 CB spot and never looking back. He's got great potential and along with a strong work ethic he seems to have I like his chances to become very good and possibly our #1 CB in the future.

He's always been good college where he was defensive MVP in D1-AA at Samford. Now he's carrying it over to the Pro's could be one of our best finds in the NFL since coming to Tennessee. He's got a motor, great speed and agility, aggressive, decent size, fearless, athletic, and explosive which lets him stick with any WR. I'm a big fan of his and he's got a lot more growing room!

He sold me in the Eagles game when he ran stride for stride with the receiver, and was looking back most of the time. He broke up a deep pass like it was nothing. The kid really has talent.

I don't know how he times out in sprints vs. other dbs, but on the field he looks like he has much more speed and explosiveness/burst. His speed is particularly apparent in some of the special teams full sprint plays where it's like he has an extra gear that nobody else on the field can reach.
