My question is would this have any effect on the outcome of the case? His charge is coercion and, if what the witness says is true, Pac could have 'coerced' with the shooter after the bouncer threatened him.

I think it does 2 things. First, it also destroys credibility of the DA's witnesses. Pac's defense now has an eyewitness that contradicts testimony by club employees AND a negative DNA test to disprove the "ankle bite" allegations.

In regards to the coercion (preventing/interfering with a security official from executing his duties) Pac's defense can now plausibly introduce the idea of self-defense. This really is a strong development for the defense.

This may be what he needed to get back into camp. It really does make you wonder what went down in the meeting with Goodell when Pac agreed to drop his appeal. It makes me even more suspicious of Goodell.

I'll give Goodell some credit. I think he honsetly wants to re-instate players after he has suspended them if they show they have learnt from their mistakes. He recently reduced Jared Allen's suspension from 4 weeks to 2 weeks due to Allen's apparent willingness to change his ways.

I think Pac agreeing to drop his appeal was on the basis that Goodell showed him the road to re-instatement. Now all Pac needs to do is show that he can follow that road (which he has consistently failed to do so far)..

Pac needs to mend fences with the local media. Then he would a little positive press and spin on some of work he does speaking to youth and his charity donations.

Another question. If the charges were dropped (hypothetically and since the court date is in October) would he be reinstated immediately/repaid his lost pay or would he carry on his suspension?

Anybody surprised that the Tennessean did NOT run a story this AM about the "new witness" or Pac being in camp?

I saw that news5 coverage. I'm once again disappointed/surprised at The Tennessean. You would think they would be interested in the development of the story since he was a #1 pick. But they seem only interested in publishing the negative information that is released.

  8. Pac-Man is hated the Titans are hated so thats why nobody cares about this where is the news on this? NO they dont wanna show it because they knew they was wrong to put all the blame on a high profile guy and get money off him. I bet if pac-man saved kids from a burning building nobody would care why because he is pac-man if michael d*** and if tank freaking johnson goes to jail!! and only gets 8 games and pac-man gets a whole year its really unfair and I will always hate Goodell cant do his job

Newspapers never make a big deal when someone is falsely accused. If they do, it tends to come out that the person managed to get out of it. Blame stays on the high profile person.
