this headline just cracks me up....shouldn't this be the default headline every offseason....

funny the first time it is said this plainly is 4 months too late....after the main part of free agency and the draft...

so were we not trying to upgrade the roster during free agency and the draft?

ok joking aside.....it sure does look like our draft stategy sucked if we spent 4 draft picks (2 of those being on the 1st day) on positions that the GM still thinks need more help at...ugh!!!!!!!!!!

all of this crap could hvae been avoided by either signing Henry or trading for Turner....and then drafting a DE in the 1st day....then we would only have 1 position of real need (WR) instead of 3 (WR, RB, DE)....

But wouldn't it make sense for any GM, no matter how happy he was with a draft pick, to look for veteran talent at the positions has has the least experience? The biggest mistake people make is in thinking the draft fixes immediate needs. It doesn't - Bulluck said it best - you can't depend on rookies (with VY being the exception that proves the rule). The draft is for the future of the team, bring in vets for any immediate help.

Chargers were not going to give up Turner without a ridiculous price tag - if we need him that bad we can get him next year without giving up any draft pick... we would have lost this years and next years if we had traded for him. Reiny isn't that desperate for veterans but he's putting notice out there to any that get cut that we're interested in talking.

 

Henry hasn't been impressive yet? Hmm, who would've guessed?

 

The only reason we need RB depth is because of that lazy slob LW.

To fix our roster we need to:

Pick up Ryan Moats or C-Dill to help our RB situation. Ryan Moats can produce he's shown that plus has ST potential as a return man. C-Dill gives a solid big back to puch the pile and wear down D's plus a mentor for the younger guys.

For WR's our best option is Eric Moulds he is an experienced guy, he has produced maybe not as much last year but who does in Houston, provides VY a big reliabe target, and gives us a tutor for the younger guys.


If wat people are saying about KGB is true we really need to jump on that. He would be a great addition to our D. Maybe he's not great vs. the run but decent and will instantly upgrade our pass rush instead of relying on Laboy and Odom and give Ford time to develop.

I doubt those happen because MR is about as aggressive as..........well you get my point here but those moves would seriously put us in the playoffs in my mind no doubt.

Henry has been pretty impressive showing good speed and a burst but if you want to judge a RB without pads your crazy. Why Gloat are you the most negative person on Earth. I don't have a problem with you but I that's all you say is negative thing and you have rants about things nobody knows or can predict like with Fowler. I bet you said the same thing about KVB when we signed him so give our guys a chance.

Donte Stallworth was offered MORE than what the Patriots were offering but he chose to sign with them.
