The assumption of the original post is that we will be a less competitive team in Sept. 07 than last year because we chose not to resign Bennett, Wade and Henry and didn't sign any expensive big-name players in free agency.

That's a big assumption considering we still have plenty of cap space, 10 draft picks and over 5 months to go before we play a game.

I actually have no concerns over losing any of those guys. Offense is not going to be the problem. We are getting people that are going to compliment what VY does best, and as I stated previously, there is no sense in having a receiver making $30M when you can't get the ball to him consistently. I believe we are getting like Denver, where we can "plug and play" any decent running back and be fine, and having spent an early 2nd round pick on White, we better be right. My concerns are defense, and I just cannot see where we are fixing that problem. Even if we use our first draft pick for a DE (which I believe we will), there is no guarantee he will be the answer. The draft is a crapshoot at best. I don't expect a SB this year, but I would hope for improvement in certain areas. So far I haven't seen anything to convince me we are going to be better on defense.

I believe we have a plan and we are not gonna take over-priced players.
I believe they are saving their money for the draft so they can get alot of guys in that can help the team.

To me the offseason activities that we fans see pretty much start with free agency and end with the first game of the season. Free agency started March 2nd. Maybe it's me, but I think it's too early to call this a terrble offseason.

this isn't a terrible offseason. the only bad thing was losing Travis.

Considering the off-season isn't over yet, its hard to say how it will end up.... Personally, I don't think it's been that bad yet (not good either). If losing Henry is the worst thing that happens, I'll take it. We're probably going to lose Pac which will hurt more than anything just becasuse he's that good and we don't have anyone to take his place. No offense to Harper. When and If the league suspends Pac for the year (which is sounding more probable everyday) then I would say that this off-season is in the pits from a competitive stand point, and that's Pac's fault not the Titans.

weve made alot of good moves this offseason, the only mistakes weve made so far is missing Donte Stallworth, and letting Henry go. Other then that what did you want us to do blow our money on mediocre players like Kevin Curtis, or Drew Bennet. Im not saying our FO is thinking to be competitive next year and just play for #1 pick this year, but we are still going to be a decent team this year, and meanwhile, the colts arent getting better either, if i had to say it theyve done nothing but get worse.

missing Stallworth wasn't a mistake, he chose to go elsewhere.

plus Henry was too expensive to keep.
I really don't think we've messed up in FA so-far. I think we've handled it pretty well.
