True, but McGahee was an elite prospect before the injury. Bush was just a possible 1st rounder.

    Um...

Oak MUST take Russell. They need a QB, Russell is a freak and can throw the ball 85 yards with good mobility. They'll take him. When CJ doesn't run faster than a 4.4, they'll go Russell. It makes too much sense!

I don't think Detroit is sold on Quinn when Joe Thomas, CJ, and Branch should be there. I'd say 50% on Thomas, 35% Quinn, 10% Branch, and 5% on CJ (in a trade).

I think Clev looks for one of several positions...QB (Quinn?), Branch (NT for that 3-4 D), Thomas (franchise LT), CJ (though they'd have an expensive WR corp with him and Braylon), or AP. Money bet is Quinn, Branch or Thomas.

TB is where the first divide happens and it'll affect everyone. They could look for a new DE (Gaines or Anderson), a new studmuffin to replace McFarland (Branch), perhaps the best player in the draft (CJ), a franchise LT (Thomas) or even a new QB (if Quinn is still there). They could use almost any of the top players so they won't be crying about who drops and they could really trade down for some good stuff if a Joe Thomas or a CJ are still there. BPA though I think this is where CJ goes.

Arizona will be dancing in the streets if the best Franchise LT falls to them. I think TB would force them to move up for him. If not, they might even take Levi Brown...they are hurting THAT much!

Wash would love Gaines Adams, Jamaal Anderson, or Alan Branch. One or more of those will be available unless something strange happens...in which case they can probably trade out and re-stock some picks because some premo OFF talent will be there. They will be hoping Clev takes an OFF player.

Minn has a lot of needs and must work extra hard on getting the card in on time!

Houston...can you say...we have a problem? Outside of Arizona, Houston has the most need for an OL...and now, a possible RB. Too bad that Bush fellow is no longer available. Levi Brown or AP. If Levi is gone and they don't like AP's durability, almost anything could happen and this is what Marshawn Lynch is hoping for.

Miami is one of the more interesting teams. They're an older team and really should be looking to win NOW. Do they have the QB? Maybe not. In a best case scenario, Quinn could fall to them, but more likely they'd have to trade up for him or Russell (if OAK doesn't take him). Other than that, they could use a BPA....CB, S, WR, OT, DT or even Willis. If Jammal Anderson or Gaines Adamas are still here, one may be Taylor's future replacement.

Everyone has Atlanta taking a S and they very well may. Landry and Nelson are rated highly enough, but Atlanta might also look to upgrade OT if Levi is still there, might take a DE to replace Kearney, a CB to help the secondary, a RB (AP?) to replace Dunn, or a Bowe/Ginn for Vick.

Why would Pitt take a Marshawn Lynch when they have the young Willie Parker? Carriker, Levi, Tank, DE, Willis, CB or S.

I think GB goes WR before S. They might want to give Brett someone to throw to before he's gone besides Driver. This could also be Troy Smith if they aren't sold on the 'other' heir.

Jax is almost certainly going DEF unless they like a Blaylock. Very possible Landry or Nelson end up here...especially if Grant moves.

NE getting Dwayne Bowe is just unfair!

I don't think Posluszny is a good fit for NE.

I don't think Bush goes in rnd 1. There may be a 'sleeper' RB who jumps into rnd one.

Carriker will surprise people at the combine. I expect him to shoot up in the draft charts. There is a reason that his sack numbers were lower this year. The coaches asked him to play the run and stay in position, because the back 7 players were not that good and had to be protected from giving up the big play.
When he is turned loose in the pros, look out QB's.

Carriker is a big slow DE get it in your head he didnt get much sacks in college and the pros are just gonna get harder he is like 285-290 he's not fast just good vs. run and lacks an explosive first step.

Thanks for the analysis. That was really good.

I have CJ going first for a lot of reasons. My main reason is the simple fact I'm not sold on JRuss yet. I need more, maybe a freakish pro day to consider him the #1 overall pick. He's got a big arm but I just have to see more. I think that last Bowl game has got a lot of people who haven’t seen him play much drinking the kool-aid. Plus no rookie QB deserves to go to Oaktown. It's just not fair:ha:

I could see Detroit taking JThomas and Quinn sliding.

Cleveland needs a QB so whoever is there they take.

Tampa should take a DE or DT if CJ is gone which I think he will be.

I may have got carried away with the JThomas slid to Ariz but it just looked so pretty.

If AP is there and Houston doesn't select him someone needs to lose their job.

I have Pitt taking Lynch because I think Willie had too much weight on his shoulders this season. They need another solid back. Plus the whole you need 2 backs nowadays thing sounds good.

I could see GB taking a WR but isn't safety a bigger need. Their D is Garbage.

I think Posluszny is a perfect fit in NE. He's smart, a good tackler, versatile, and an overachiever. Sounds like all of their LB's

Bush deserves a rnd1 grade. The dude is a beast. If he runs well he's gotta be the 3rd back taking.

    Um...

Well, certainly they 'turned him loose' on 3rd and longs....and yet, not many sacks. Consider this is against college blockers and he's freakish - even for the NFL. A guy who's 292lbs and can run a 4.9 40 is awesome. But he didn't dominate when given the opportunity.

    The question is...WHY???
