The RB from the mid 90's?

He had one 1000yd year filling in for Lorenzo White followed by a nothing year & that was the end of his career.

I can't think of any other Gary Brown. Did you mean Chris Brown?

DOH!! Yes, I do mean Chris Brown ... too many Oilers/Titans years all blurring into one big morass as I get older and the dementia kicks in .....

He did a decent job giving Henry a breather on a few carries in our last game against the Texans. He only saw time because Lendale White wasn't fit to play that week. He played well though.

He's about to become an unrestricted free agent.

Yeah, he REALLY doesn't like it when an agent asks for a trade...whether it was CB's idea or not, that put the kibosh on Brownie's PT.

Gary Brown actually had a couple of productive years after leaving the Oilers. He ran for 1000 yards for the Giants in '98 I think.

There was discussion about trading him, but I remember reading somewhere that we would get better draft compensation by letting him leave at the end of the year (when his contract expires) than any team would be willing to trade for him.
