the cost of replacing the surface with field turf is not that high
(I am assuming field turf is the choice of replacement surface)

ya know, when it starts affecting the outcome of ballgames and is an injury concern for some of the leagues next stars, you'd think the BILLIONAIRE OWNER would wish to protect his investments

    maybe it's a Texas thing.

I doubt its a Texas thing... The University of Texas has a State of the Art, grass field, with massive water pumps beneath it... they have spent mega bucks on their stadium renovations, that also boast the Worlds Largest HDTV Screen called the GodzillaTron.

The organization should be embarassed that a television audience got to see such a poor playing suface. I thought that this was the NFL...and not a tractor show. Yes, I know it is December and both the Titans and a college football team as well as a college bowl game have played on the surface this season.

With that said, I which all NFL games could be played on grass. However, the organization must consider the amout of games played on the field to determine the surface that would be best suited for the wear and tear. I am surprised that the NFL or the NFLPA has not stepped in and stated that such a playing surface (the one at LP field starting around the month of December) is not acceptable for NFL contests. This is not too much different than the old days at the Vet in Philly where the seams in the turf would regularly swallow people and keep their ACL's.

    Totally embarassing...

FISHER said he likes a grass surface, and that's why we play on one.
