    Amen, Iowa.

This goes on a lot, usually in the slowest time of the year. Most of us end up ignoring a majority of these posts. You're very right though, a lot of cheap shots are taken, and a lot of responses go overboard. I think there's a little bit of fault on both sides, but things are definitely out of line with rational discussion or even good spirited argument.

This is pure BS. The whole fiasco started with negative observations made about a 1st round pick who certainly looks like a bust. Just because we have a family member looking in doesn't mean any of us can't make comments about players on the Titans. Woolfolk would get bashed if his uncle was here or not. To be honest if this was another teams board Uncle would have been beaten so bad by now he wouldn't dare to post. This board is civil compared to many of the boards I've seen.
Remember, it is the uncle who has flamed the fire. Most all the comments on both sides have made have been in good taste. Giving a sermon on how this thread or others on the same topic are about a couple of guys riling up another is ridiculous. All uncle has to do is refrain from fanning the flames. Read his posts. He brings it on himself. To make matters worse is that Andre is doing nothing out on the field to supress the negativity. I can't speak for everyone but certainly I do not want Woolfolk to suck so I can bash him some more. I think we all want him to become what the Titans drafted him for. To be a solid starting CB in this league. It is Andre's responsibility to go out and earn his spot not his uncles to try to prove something with endless arguments. His playing time will speak for itself and it has. Uncle will just have to face up to the reality of his nephew being a ST player and a backup until he proves otherwise.

Boy I'm glad Eddie Berlin's uncle wasn't dumb enough to respond to some of our posts about him.

Come on, Soxcat. Do you really blame it entirely on WU? I'll agree, he brings some of it on himself, and he over-reacts quite often to criticism. But things really get out of hand when some of us are the ones making the cheap shots that aren't decent criticism, but are clearly just thrown out there to upset him.

Even worse, imagine if Eddie George's relatives were around trying to defend George's sucky play at the end. I guess there were enough homers for that.

    Well said IOWA.:applause:

This shouldn't be allowed to take place outside the Smack Forum.
It's sickening, and not what people come to the main forum to see.

So The Tennessean and the AP are now printing and reporting smack??? Or are you saying that WU's responses to Titans fans commenting on those reports is smack?
