It’s easy to blame all 7 of the WRs/TEs instead of the 1 guy throwing the ball. Extreme talent upgrade from a year ago....

I played Wr in college, coaches do this to protect fragile QBs. Can’t let the Golden Boy seem like he ain’t Golden.

I said that about the Titans last week (trying to force the triangle into the square hole). So if there's only 2 running routes are there 7 or 8 in max protect?

 

Come on man, even a bunch of us who haven't been shy to criticize Mariota can acknowledge how poor this scheme/play calling has been.

We're not excusing his poor play either. He hasn't been good and is far from being the golden boy.

Do you mean blaming all 3 tight ends and 1 receiver lined up on 70% of our plays?

 

Tajae isn't making the difference between Mariota having one of the worst QB ratings in the league this year to having close to 100 last year. Get real. I'd be glad to gave him now, but Mariota was really inefficient while targeting him.

He worked because we were able to run last year and pull off play action much more effectively. He didn't make contested catches, he caught perfectly thrown balls. If you can give him credit for something, it's that he seemed to grasp the system much more quickly, but he also had a former NFL coach in college.

Decker is going to out produce Sharpe, even with the drops and terrible QB play this year.
