A lot of times there is no separation to throw it in stride too.

When you run max protect and only have two receivers out in routes, don’t be surprised when they are fully covered.

When teams constantly load up against the run that should be a given. What I've seen though, more often than not, is him missing more than hitting. He's pretty good on the short slant (that's within my 10 yds). The seam/go routes they have him throw are a crap shoot. The post/corner, usually to Delanie, are also low percentage throws for him. That just leaves the curls and the in/outs.... the further down the field they are the lower the percentage of him completing them (as with any QB). Drags and crosses, I rarely see TN run but seems like they would be useful but like the game here, Mary tends to loft the ball on deep corner/out routes. That gave our less than stellar safeties way to much time to get over and help. So yeah, I don't see it. He's basically that same QB that played at Oregon. I mean they ran a spread system at Oregon and the few times I seen him there it was still lock on to one guy and let it rip. Maybe the gameplan has stunted his growth

Trade mariota for a 1st and 2nd round draft pick and then sign Case Keenum as a free agent?

If feel Mariota was considered good enough for that value, there is zero chance he would be traded.

Cory Curtis believes that Mariota hamstring issue is still bothering him and thinks that his having a down year because of it, but I call bull**** on that.
