Our scoring differential is -31. We are barely beating weak teams and getting torched by good ones.

By comparison, the Chargers have a point differential of +47, yet have a losing record because they've been losing to teams like KC, NE, and Philadelphia as opposed to barely beating the Browns.

I'd honestly feel better if this team were on the outside looking in like the Chargers, but finally showed signs of pulling things together and many moments of looking like a true competitor. We look barely enough above average to take care of a weak schedule and get the coaching staff undue credit, despite looking like we are taking steps backwards each week.

The offense has regressed while adding talent. How is that even possible? The fact people are defending anyone on this coaching staff is absurd. I didn't watch the interview, but the things Robskie is saying are ridiculous, this man needs to be fired.

Nobody said anything about being saved, quit being dramatic. The reality is, the team is better than they have been in years, that is essentially a fact. I certainly dont expect them to win the SB this year by any means, but it could obviously be a lot worse.

And you say the offense has been poor, but they are averaging 22 points a game, which isnt great, but it is at least solid. I mean, the Steelers with a proven veteran QB, arguably the top RB in the league and arguably the top WR in the league are averaging 22.7 points a game. And of course the #s are reflected with the fact that Mariota has missed almost 2 complete games and was limited in another couple of games. The the top draft pick who was supposed to add a big play dimension has missed most of the season and is still being worked into the offense. So again, it is ok to be critical, but obviously a big difference in being critical and jumping off the ledge. As of now, there is no reason to not see how this plays out before calling for peoples heads.

Ok, true, team is better now than years past but don't you think with a more capable coaching staff the team could reach greater levels? I know that's what I want. I don't like how we're pretty talented but barely beating below average teams as we should boat race them.

Tell me how the Rams went from worst to upper tier team? How Goff went from looking like a bust to maybe MVP? Same with the Eagles. It's the coaching staff that elevates the players and the team.

The Chargers point differential is largely due to the Buffalo game where Nate Peterman through 6 ints and they won by 30, and yesterday where they blew out a Dallas team who basically looks dead in the water at this point. SD is playing pretty well now, but I dont know we want to over value a team for 2 weeks of of blowing out teams that are falling apart. Just 3 weeks ago, they of course lost to the Jags and only put up 17 points. They have scored 249 points on the year, and 82 of those points were in the last 2 weeks against teams that are completely collapsing.

Even taking those two games out of the equation, their point differential is much better than our own. And that's with a much tougher schedule. There's nothing wrong with beating up on a couple of teams down on their luck, as that can get things moving in the right direction. We sure aren't doing that.

But when you say capable coaching staff, what are you talking about? Obviously yeah, it would be great to have Bellichick or someone like that, but obviously you cant just go out and hire a great coach on a whim. Coaching changes are gambles, always have been, always will be. Which goes to my point of be careful what you wish for. Hiring a new coaching staff could potentially be an upgrade, or it could just as easily be the NYG going from Tom Coughlin and a well coached team, to a dumpster fire essentially over night.

The Rams already had a solid foundation. A good defense, good RB, etc. Goff has another year under his belt, they added several new targets, and they also added Andrew Whitworth who is one of the top tackles in the game. The Rams isnt as simple as just hiring a new coach and all of a sudden their QB looks great. They also added quite a few pieces that werent there a year ago.

In 11 games they have scored 249 points, and again, 82 of those have been in the last 2 weeks. In 10 games the Titans have scored 222 points. Their point differential is 47 right now. The last 2 weeks they have won by a combined total of 52. So if you take out those 2 games, they are -5 in point differential.

And no, there is of course nothing wrong beating up on bad teams. But, we also shouldnt over value it and make them appear to be better than they are. They have blown out 2 bad teams, but still have lost to every quality team they have played.

It would still be nice if we played to our abilities at some point. The Jacksonville and Seattle game feel very fluke-y in retrospect, as we've been destroyed twice and had nothing but underwhelming victories ever since.

Even last year had a better feeling, as we were beating tough playoff teams and picking up a lot of steam until that dreadful Jacksonville game. Now it feels like MM has been shell shocked and the running game is a distant memory. Hopefully they'll thump the next two opponents to restore some confidence, as they should.

It is obviously a matter of opinion, but I do think they are mostly playing to their abilities. Going into the season I was thinking they were a 10-6 type team, which is basically what they are on pace for.

And also opinion certainly, but I think the blow out losses are more fluky than than good wins. The Steelers on the road on a Thursday game had disaster written all over it as soon as the schedule came out. I dont think Thursday games are a very good barometer of how good or bad a team is. There are lots of sloppy Thursday night games. And the Texans was obviously bad, but if Mariota doesnt get hurt, who knows, maybe they could have at least made some type of run and made it competitive.
