Sadly that is true. Wentz is the best qb in the league right now, but he still doesn't have the skill set of mariota if you compare the measurables. If mariota was in that system, he would be just as good if not better

That is a fact. They are coaching scared. I hope it's just because key components are injured. But hey 4-3 and winning the division

They both have. Now who is at fault for the regression of one another is a different topic but they both clearly have

Mariota has not regressed at all in any area. In fact he has improved from last year especially with not forcing passes, fumbling the ball, and better pocket awareness. The stats just dont do him any justice and neither do his coaches.

I see too many want to blame Mariota or Robiskie when, IMO, it's both right now.

The play that had Walker wide open in the endzone Sunday was a great call but Mariota made a horrible throw.

It's inexcusable for any NFL QB to miss that throw, IMO. And that doesn't excuse Robiskie for some predictable, conservative gameplans.

Let's look at the offense so far this season:

The focus so far clearly has been the run and, right now, the Titans aren't as productive as they were last year by an average of 10% (12-yard average per game).

Passing, it's 19 yards lower per game on average which is also around 10%. Let's remember that the Titans were 25th in passing last season. This year's 201 passing yards per game average ranks 26th. Not good and the area which has to dramatically improve.

Even when you look at the redzone woes the Titans have had the last four weeks, they are only averaging 1 point less than they were per game last year.

This offense is only playing slightly worse than the team who won 9 games last year. But that clearly isn't going to cut it if the goal is playing in January.

I almost see this as a chicken or the egg scenario. Is Robiskie more conservative because they know Mariota is limited and want to protect him? Or is Mariota not being productive because of the conservative plays being called?

I think it's both and I think we'll see a jump in offensive production after the bye if we can keep 8 healthy.

I just hope that Corey Davis can stay on the field going forward....that would be very helpful here IMO.

I'll wait and see on Mariota, he's hobbled so thats contributing to it. But he's missed on some throws that a NFL QB should make.

Just like is it Henry's fault he can't get in from the 1 or Robisuckie's? Blame lies all around. An NFL RB the size he is should get 1 yard!!

As far as Robisuckie and the staff, they play not to lose and that's difficult to watch.

Mariota has looked quite uncomfortable at times this season. Hard to say exactly why, but he has. Take the bad throw into the end zone against Cleveland. Marcus hurried that throw and there was no reason to. I really wish Robiskie and Mularkey would just let Marcus do what he wants. They say Marcus has the authority to change the play at the line before the snap. I get the feeling they strongly discourage him from doing so though. Let him do what he feels comfortable with on every play and I'll bet we see improvement on offense.

Nobody can blame the woes on the OL. They have been great in pass protection. The issue is that our OC is awful. When any team brings in 2 TEs, a fullback, and a 250 lbs running back, it's not exactly a guessing game as to what's to come. Poor OCs get figured out. That's what you're seeing.

I don't actually believe that Wentz or Goff are actually superior to Mariota. They have different qualities, but Mariota can be just as elite as those guys.

The difference is both of them now have outstanding coaches and play callers. We do not. I tried to be patient and let Robiskie have time to prove himself, but all he's proven is that he's not cut out to be the OC of a top tier young QB.
