I’m disappointed Davis hasn’t played, but when he is 100% and on this field on the regular, watch out. We saw that sideline catch, and his separation ability. He is also a big guy. He’s going to cause problems and help the offense out for sure.

He's averaging nearly 15 YPC. He averaged nearly that much last year, and the year before with the Dolphins. He's not simply catching checkdowns, but making plays down the field as well. He would be productive on any team in the league.

You cannot leave DW out of the discussion when speaking of Mariota's weapons. There are only one or two TEs in the league better than Walker, and he's a mismatch against any opponent.

Other than that, we aren't sure what we have.

I thought Decker's lack of production had more to do with the inconsistency on offense rather than a major decline in his ability, and the previous game seems to support that. But we'll have to see more. If he is capable of producing like that each week, the Walker/Matthews/Decker trio will definitely be above average to good.

Davis looks the part of a #1 WR, and Taylor has already shown some of what he is capable of. And Murray is a severely underrated receiver and could easily split out more. On paper, we have a group which should be able to thrive through the air, but it just hasn't come together yet. However, I've seen enough to know that the unit is not bad. But we will need to see more in order to know what they actually are.

I think you guys misunderstood me. Never did I say Mathews isnt good, I think his awesome, but I dont think he has top talent. Basically, saying you put him right back in Miami with Tannehill throwing him, I dont think he even sniffs WR1 numbers. His a very good WR2 on a team with a stud WR. There’s a difference. The guy is a ghost in the redzone. We just think he’s a stud beacause we havent had a good reciever since Dyson.

He can still be an wR1 in our team, wich is why I really questioned that Davis pick this year at #5, MM8 did fairly well with the weapons he had, but thats another topic for another day.

I think the scheme has alot to do more than talent the more that I think about it now. Sucks why we cant pass more. The run isnt as good as it was last year and I think we need to be more of a passing team with all these guys we have. Also, I hope I am wrong, but it seems as this coaching staff we have arent capable of developing the recievers. Seems to me that they have no clue in what their doing.

You mean Mason or Bennett instead of Dyson, right?

Nope. Mason was good. But I like Dyson more. I wont even hold that grudge beacause of that SB. Dyson just made plays when we needed. Even though, staticially their not really compareable, but I’d take Dyson over Mason anyday.

I love how we're all making fun of Corey Davis every week but he's lowkey going to return from his injury and just dominate and WOW us with his skill set. If this man gets healthy, WATCH OUT.

Dyson couldn't stay healthy. There's no way I would take him over Mason.

I know you said that the stats aren't comparable but why would you take a WR who couldn't stay healthy and never had a 1k yard season over a guy why played twice as long and had 8 1k yard seasons?

The only reason that you think MM8 is a stud is because we haven't had a good QB since.....

Matthews was on track to gain nearly 900 yards in Miami before an injury held him to only 12 games. And he was a major reason why Mariota had such a great success rate in the red zone last year. Nobody argues that he's a #1 WR, but Mariota sure doesn't make him look like a #1 WR. One of his best games last year was with Cassell at QB. He's good on his own.

At this point, our offense is just bad. The QB shouldn't need more than a few quality options with a running game which should be thriving right now, but it is not doing so. I think we know who is it blame for our offensive woes, and it is not the players.

Go watch the raiders vs chiefs game and you will see its not our Wrs its our scheme. Too many times we are asking our wrs to beat double and even triple coverages. Its so obvious this offense is built entirely on establishing the run first. There is no creativity in the passing game. The only hope is for play action to freeze and confuse defenders so our wrs can get open. We even sacrifice less receivers on the field to make play action more effective. But at a cost of doing that defenses have less people to cover in the passing game. We put way too much pressure on our WRs and QB to work within a system that basically gratifies the running game as the backbone to winning games.

"Almost" 1000 yards isn't something to brag about when talking about your #1 receiver. I also see no mention of our #2 WR being on pace for 600 yards lmfao.

One thing is for sure. Marcus isn't throwing to Mike Evans and Desean Jackson, tbqfh.
