Sold Out Stadium

What is number 1?

 

Ran into Seahawk fans last night.

Apparently this was their collective fanbase's away game of choice this year. So they're expecting a massive turnout and to be loud.

They talked about how easy it was to get tickets and how cheap it was.


and also that apparently for some tailgate thing alone they have 900 people signed up for it... So, there's that.

 

Ok, fine, just more sad Seahawk fans to laugh at on my way out of the stadium.

 

I do fondly remember the years between 99-02 where pretty much anyone that came into that stadium left with an L and a GOOD deal of abuse from me...verbally.

 

good times.....

 

Yup. Yelling literally the entire time the defense was out there.

Was an insane atmosphere.

Now?... lol... Opening game... good team... and even in the endzones, people only stand up every now and then- and the moment we were down by a single TD early-- everyone shut up entirely.

 

good crowd yesterday. not nearly as many hawks fans as anticipated. stadium was full. got loud in the second half.

not where we were in the glory days, but i think we're getting back there

 

Man...

we had to do literally everything in our power to get our endzone standing and making noise...

1st defensive possession of the game, and our endzone's first 10 rows are all seated.

Still a ton of work to do, but the team winning helps.



Thing that kills me is- you see the impact of crowd noise immediately and the players gesture and came back to us once our endzone was finally hype... and then they forget again the very next defensive possession.


Messing with Seahawks fans was fun though. They're a good base.

 

i just think the fanbase is a little like charlie brown and the titans are lucy with that effing football. just gotta keep building that trust. i think yesterday went a long way towards doing that.

that was a game we needed to win. not just a "hey maybe we can get a fluke win against a better team" thing like with KC or Denver or GB last year.
