I wont let this bug me til hes missing practice time on the field, so if hes not signed by practice tomorrow then its an issue for me

 

IDK if you heard but Corey davis was the 5th overall pick, dragging this out how we seem to be doing is not how you treat star players

and Ill save you the time by saying yes hes a rookie and hasnt earned anything yet, but the writings on the wall, this kid is going to be special.

 

theres currently 160 rookie contracts the NFLPA believes are in violation with the current CBA, I wonder if this is one of those 160 theyre investigating

 

Offset language really doesn't bother me on the surface. I really don't see us giving up on Davis within the first four years though, so I don't see why it's really necessary. That being said, JR clearly understands that he's going to have to shell out big bucks in the next couple of years for Lewan and Mariota. I understand that he want's to be as frugal as possible, so I support this decision. Ultimately I just don't feel much sympathy for someone being paid millions to play the game they love. Have confidence in yourself, and work your butt off and you the offset language will never hinder you.

 

Yeah, I have never had offset language in my employment contracts...

 

I imagine your contracts aren't millions of dollars, while accepting a huge risk of personal injury to you though. But I dunno.
