Twelve days until the fight. No guarantee it will happen with Jones involved until it actually happens.

This UFC on Fox is whack! I guess since the contract is over soon they just don't give a ****. I've seen better Fight Card line ups.

Next PPV is PPV of the year though. More excited for Cowboy vs Lawler and Woodley vs Maia than Bones and Cormier. Okay maybe not really but I am very excited for those 3 fights and even the Manuwa fight is a good 4th big fight on the PPV.

Did you watch the Fox card? I watched from the first prelim to the main event, and I enjoyed every single fight. The free cards aren't going to have title fights (especially under the new ownership) or be loaded with name recognition (usually have 1 or 2 fights with name recognition, usually someone from the area) ... but the fights themselves were great.

Next week, Manuwa and Oezdemir are opening the night ... barely even on the PPV, since Lawler vs Cowboy got added. lol DC-Jones, Woodley-Maia, Cyborg-Evinger, Cowboy-Lawler, Manuwa-Oezdemir ... if the fights are half as good as they should be, it'll be hard for it not to be the best UFC PPV of the year.

I watched the main card. Thought it was mostly a snooze. They had no top fighters in any division outside of the Weidman/Gastleman fight. Even the "co-main" event was two fighters ranked between 10-15 in their weight class.

I just assumed they would treat FOX events as equal to PPV since that is their best opportunity to draw in new fans. Especially an event in JULY where there is no Football, no basketball, no hockey, nothing except Baseball in the way of major sports. But it was equivalent to a Fight Night on Fox Sports or even worse really.

I was interested enough I read some articles about the Fox deal. I guess it makes sense if they don't think Fox is going to be the front runner in the best offer to renew. Sounds like NBC or ESPN might take over.

I don't know why you would say Manuwa is "barely" on the PPV. He is on the PPV as the opening fight. 4 great fights on the next PPV and yep as I said it will be (or looks to be) the biggest UFC of the year. UFC 215 looks like crap and the next PPV only has a rumored fight linked to it, granted it is Cain vs Stipe though. UFC 216 is at Madison Square Garden so maybe it will be good.

I still don't get why the UFC doesn't make the summer their prime fighting time. Doesn't make sense to compete with NFL and college football in fall/winter. Those would be better for the weaker PPVs (which 215 is so I guess maybe they will go that route).

Yea, if you're looking for an event stacked with top contenders and title fights, then the free cards usually aren't the way to go. haha

UFC 215 has 2 legit title fights, JDS vs Ngannou, Gilbert vs Stephens, Cejudo vs Weis, McMann vs Vieira ... and that's just the name recognition fights. I'm pretty stoked for that card, as well.

Mighty Mouse title fight and Nunes title fight after she pussed out of her fight in 213? Snooooooooooze. I always liked Gilbert but he hasn't done well in UFC. JDS vs. Ngannou is the one fight I am truly interested in. But as a PPV?? It's WEAK.

I am not suggesting all free events should be stacked. I think sometimes the fight night cards are too stacked! I just expected the fights on FOX, as one of the four major broadcasting networks in the United States, would be more prioritized with top fights by the UFC. But that has not really been the case.

I've never fell asleep watching might mouse or nunes, although I think nunes loses the belt.

I was super excited when Gilbert and shields came to ufc ... neither guy's record showed much success since making the jump. But I've at least enjoyed watching his fights in the ufc. This is probably a must won for him. A loss would be 4 straight and 5 of his last 6.

And before he went to the UFC Gilbert was the best lightweight period! Or so everybody wanted to say lol.
