Pick #5 of the 2017 NFL Draft: WR Corey Davis, Western Michigan

Every WR on the face of the earth drops catchable passes. Does that mean I'm talking trash about Davis? No

Was that a catchable ball? Yes

Some posters on here get so defensive when anything is said about any Titan, completely throwing out a simple fact.

 

I knew what ya meant...I didn't take it personal at all honestly. I fully expect him to be making some mistakes and adjusting, all rookies do. Especially guys that sat out a bit due to injury pre NFL draft, combine, etc. I just hope our rookies can step up. I don't expect magic, but no reason that Davis and Taylor can't make us waaaay more explosive and keep opposing defenses more honest on the regular. It's amazing we did as well as we did with the grocery baggers we had on the roster last year lol.

 

Isn't he suppose to be taking it easy on his ankle? You have to remember this is OTA's. Why should he be jumping out of the gym for a ball in OTA's while recovering from ankle surgery?

 

Yeah this isn't pre season etc...

Apparently, he's the only 1st rd receiver taking part at OTA's.

 

I understand what you're saying. He says he's 100%, the coaching staff is trying to ease him in.

The out cut was much harder on his ankle than going up for a ball 1/3rd his vert. Catchable ball. I expect him to make that catch 100/100.

 

For sure, wouldn't want to see them place him a WR1 right out the gate. I think distribution will be pretty even. WRs do take a bit to adjust, already having a built OL and running game should really help though.

 

Good read, and nice to see the Titans WR is the only one who's ahead of the pack.

 

He's like 6'3...He doesn't need to leap like crazy...He could have a 4 inch jump and still likely be better than Williams lol
