I think the jags and colts did very well. Gonna make life tough on us.

The Texans should've swallowed their pride and just rolled with cutler for a year. Giving up their 2018 first will hurt them. They have totally screwed up their window.

Texans gave the browns their first and second picks next year , that could easily set them back a few years. their top defensive stars are getting some age on them.

I think the sun has set on the Texans grip on the AFCS.

I honestly think this could be one of the best divisions in football in very near future.

Indy - Luck is not the god ESPN makes him out to be. He is a damn good QB though, and has really gotten piss poor support personnel wise. I like the colts additions to the secondary this draft. They are getting better.

Jax - Fournette coupled with Robinson was a great 1-2 punch. Will really take the pressure off Bortles, slow the game down, and let that defense do the work. If they can get low mistake, efficient football out of Bortles, the Jags will be strong contenders for the division. But thats a big if.

Hou - All in on Watson. If he comes out and is the next big thing, they could win a Super Bowl. If not, they are done. They have no draft next year, and are getting older. This was an all or nothing move. I think Watson has a shot to be good, but it is unlikely, and will take time.

Tenn - We had a solid, but very bland, meat and potatoes roster. Good in the trenches. Bad on the outside. No speed. Our QB was the fastest player on the team.

Well, we have speed now. I don't really know how fast Davis is, but I wager faster than what we had.

Jackson is a blur. He reminds me so much of Pac Man on the field. Hopefully we got this one right this time.

The two third rounders have the potential to be great weapons. The possible heir to DW and a slot receiver with promise.

And the RB... 4.3? This guy could be something special as a change of pace.

And good lord. who the hell is gonna return punts and kicks? We have a plethora of options. I hope we try the new RB there.

    _______

This season will be a referendum on the coaching. Last year, we were a run first team with possession options in the pass game. We had no real big play ability.

This season, we should be able to adapt our offense to suit matchups. If we face a defense that is really tough to run on, but weaker in the pass, we should be able to spread the field and have success.

But using all these pieces well is going to take skill. I am not convinced we have the coaches in place to do it. Mularkey impressed me last season, Loggains less so. Let us see.

I haven't looked closely enough at their drafts in relation to their rosters, but Hooker is an awesome FS prospect and Fournette is an excellent RB prospect IF you have some good blocking for him. If you don't, watch him vs Bama.

The Texans to me have a problem. I really like Watson, but not in the Texans' system. Watson has run the same offensive scheme since HS so if O'Brien wants to change to a similar scheme, Watson will fit right in. If he's gonna have to start to learn a new system, I think it will be a bit of a transition. The problem - as you mentioned - is they are in win now mode and the pressure will be on to start him day 1. I would also question O'Brien's judgement about his own ability to train and judge his own qb's since he keeps saying he has one (or two) only to find out he doesn't have any. And if Tom Savage gets the starting job simply because he knows the system...they are gonna have a problem. On the other hand, they just made the best D in football a LOT better. We may need Adoree running one back to beat these guys in a low scoring game!

It will be VERY interesting to see how our special teams plays (if we aren't one of the best and most feared, we have a serious coaching/scheme issue because we have the players) and how much that affects us winning games.
