Dev is def the better McCourty, drafted higher, has championships

You should have gone for the more successful one

 

Two things:

1. Every decent ILB was gone by the time our 3rd pick came around so unless you think upgrading that position was more important than WR and CB in the 1st there really is no discussion to be had here.

2. Once the draft is over and we know what we have, there is a good chance we can wheel and deal with 2018 picks. For all we know the plan was trade back in the 1st to get a 2nd rounder and draft a second CB... BUT if that failed, try to aquire Butler, Sherman, Talib, Johnson, Scandrick or someone else being shopped. Anything can happen still.

Wait to see who's on our final 53 man roster before you complain about the offseason.

 

Man I wish I had saved the list as not going to look it all up again. I posted it in a different thread. The starting qbs the pats faced last year were horrendous and that includes a lot of backups. When they did face good qbs they got torched. It soured me a lot on Ryan, but he's still an upgrade.


Since I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread, I'm really high on the byard safety from Mtsu we drafted last year. He may step up big and that could help. Not a Cyprien believer at all.

But I do somewhat agree with op, I'm worried about D for sure. And I thought the colts and jags have had really good drafts. (This post ain't all directed at you big tt).

 

Malcolm Butler was the Pats best Corner last year, by far.
