    I'd also rather have

    McCourty
    ryan
    Jackson on slot

    Over

    Ryan
    Sims/Jackson
    McCain slot

That's an upgrade big time over last year

Key word is SHOULD! It makes sense on paper, but Cyprien isn't exactly known for his pass coverage (unless you work for PFF). Adoree gave up 7 TD's I believe last year...and that's a ton for a 1st round cb so how much of an upgrade he is right away is unknown. Ryan is definitely an upgrade. So Cyp and Jackson are question marks and there is a chance Adoree starts at nickel which creates another question mark opposite Ryan. So the top 3 cb's on our team had better win the top 3 spots and all play well if our pass D is to improve since we may have lost some on the pass rush with Lug coming back from injury.

And with Dodd's uncertainty, we also lack depth at OLB. We have been fortunate Morgan and Rak have stayed pretty healthy recently. Who is gonna be our nickel ILB?

The problem with SHOULD is that it doesn't always happen. We NEED all of the SHOULDS to really play well and make our secondary better because we SHOULD make the playoffs!!!

I can see it. Reminds me a lot of PAC man, but with more competitive nature. And not a hood rat thug.

I see a guy with great makeup speed and good ball skills that will attack the ball and breakup passes.

I think Ryan and Jackson will be an enormous upgrade from last year. Our secondary will be ok, not tops in the league, but ok.

They will be good enough to allow rak and morgan and hopefully dodd to get home more regularly as well.

Obviously Adoree since he went to USC. Right? That's why people don't like the Davis pick.

I think his draft position was a combination of two things, obviously his return skills being one and I think that's a big advantage. Special teams has been a major sore point for the Titans since well...make it rain Pac-Man Jones. How many games have we lost due to poor special teams play or just due to the lack of ability to control field position. I'm not arguing with your point that the defense may and probably should have been addresses more but much the NFL in today's game just as much about special teams as it is offense and defense. Partially the reason our defense got gassed Year was a combination of our offense having to always having long fields, specials teams in ability to limit opposing teams returners, and our own special teams lacking the ability to flip the field. Yeah I agree our defense was bad last year, but some of the bad play was also circumstantial due to other areas of the team needing upgrading. This off season was clearly a step in resolving that. Will it work who knows, but certainly have to see how it plays out.

I think the other reason for this position is relatively straightforward. We had no second round pick. I'm not going through and seeing who all got picked where, but had we got back in the second round via trade, we may have drafted differently. Drafts are always hindsight 20/20 so only time will tell.

One thing I say is coverage skills aside, let's say this kid becomes a stud KR/PR and just a so-so CB. You know what...I'm perfectly fine with that. Not saying he will match this production, but how many games did Devin Hester win for the bears? He clearly wasn't a first round pick and never matured as a CB, but how many teams would have spent a 1st round pick on him after seeing how he impacted every game. My guess is the majority of them. So personally I would have liked to see more, but definitely think we have to just wait and see how this plays out. One thing that is not deniable, this front office definitely has a vision for this team and how to move it forward.

And here I thought I was one of the more pessimistic people on this board.

Before the draft, I saw this team as a 5-7 win team, but the first two days of this draft have changed my opinion, and there is still 4 rounds left.

Just these few picks alter this roster significantly IMO.

Our Nickel package should be Ryan, Sims, Jackson. Depending on matchup, you can kick Ryan or Jackson inside. Idk where people are getting McCain from in our nickel package, and I actually have more faith in Sims than most people. He had one of the highest DB grades towards the end of the year.

Receiver depth is 10x better than last year. I know some people are high on Tajae, but I view him currently as a 4th string guy. Not someone you want getting high volume snaps, but he is decent enough to come in if needed. And at best, getting 2 WRs makes him work even harder and bring competition to position. But Davis, Matthews in the outside and Taylor in the slot. For those high on Sharpe, you can do Davis, Sharpe outside, Matthews slot & you can change your match ups accordingly.

Depth behind Delanie is suspect and he's getting older. This guy hopefully steps in to immediately be our #2. Shouldn't be too hard to beat out Supernaw and Amaro.

Still 4 more rounds to address defense.

Considering the ILBs and safeties that were taken before our day 2 picks, I have no problem with this team going WR and TE.

All this size talk is ridiculous. He'salmost the exact same size as revis, the best corner in the best 10 years. Size had little to do with it, as long as you can play ball. Plenty of undersized guys have been great and plenty of perfect sized guys have been trash. As long as he can run and jump with his opposition, he'll be just fine.

Upgraded SS, CB1, CB2, and we'll see if Sly Williams can be better than Woods. Plus like you said, Byard should only be better his 2nd year

I'm quite pleased with this offseason. IDK what this fool is crying about.. Doesn't even have an avi, just terrible.
