Here's the latest visit list with projected 1st rounders who we had a private workout with in Bold:
So basically it's all the WR's, CB's (aside from Humphrey interestingly), TE's, and safety's who would likely go in the 1st.

Jrob has said that we need to increase our team speed. This draft would certainly do that.

It would add a playmaker to each side of the ball.

I'll be happy with anything as long as we can trade down.

In Mayocks draft assuming we got the Browns #33 then we could add Davis as our new ILBer.

He had, by far, the best mock last year.

I would be pretty surprised to see us take Ross at #12, but if OJ and Latt aren't there, I wouldn't mind that.

The thinking pre-free agency was that we'd go safety/CB first and then offensive playmaker. But after we got Ryan and Cyp in FA, that has flipped the other way. That's why I could see us going OJ or Williams at #5 or Ross at #12.

I'd enjoy watching Ross for the first 3 weeks of the season.

I don't know, Ryan & Cyprien are no more than barely average IMO. Cyp coming off a bad year, but wasn't utilized right. The rest of the secondary is garbage or unproven. Don't see any DB on the roster now making a pro bowl. Maybe Byard if he becomes that centerfield ballhawk and nets a ton of INTS.

Using Mayocks mock another option would be Marlon Humphrey & Malik Hooker at 12/18. Assuming we also got a 2nd in the CLE trade is where we'd find our WR. Don't think we'd double dip DBs in the first though, 18 has a WR written all over it.

While I vehemently disagree with your assessment of Cyp and Ryan, you have to agree that they filled holes that were not filled before FA. If we went into the draft without Ryan on the team, our best CB would have been McCourty (because I'm doubting we'd cut him at that point) and Byard still would have been playing out of position at SS.

We'd need someone who could come in and start day 1 at Safety and CB which would likely have to be Lattimore for CB or Adams for S. Now that we've at least upgraded our starting CB and have a real starting SS on the team, Byard can go to FS, we have the luxury of working on getting Marcus a playmaker weapon first, and then shoring up the other CB spot second.

Yeah I dont mean to paint him as a one factor guy...honestly know little about him other than the only thing I hear about him is speed.

All I'm saying is before free agency we all can agree that we needed a starting CB. We signed a CB2 in Logan, who will be forced to play against #1s, just like McCourty had to. We signed a starting corner, then released one, thus still need a starting corner.

At safety I simply don't trust Cyprien or Searcy. Safety is less of an early need than CB, but Adams at 5 wouldn't make me angry at all.

Luckily this is a deep DB class. Should be able to walk away with a (potential) starting CB + S. Just probably not day 1 starters.
