You get the feeling that I want my favorite team to lose? Merely because I'm realistic about those matchups? One team has to lose. I provided why.

And I do think the Raiders are a far better team. Opening week is always a tossup, but they were well on their way to face the Patriots in the SB until Carr went down. We weren't even close to being in that position.

I don't really think you wish your team to start 1-5 but you come off as the ultimate pessimist. The exact thing you knock the optimists for, you do but on the opposite end.
Your explanation provided for your 1-5 prediction is also pretty weak.

Raiders are not "far better" but we disagree on that.

Jags is your W, I too think we win, but still get nervous due to our recent division play.

Seahawks, just because they won 10 last year doesn't make that an auto loss. KC won 12 last year and lost to 9-7 Tennessee, lucky or not, Tennessee was in the entire game.

Texans, I don't think they are any better than Tennessee. In fact, I think the Titans are better and were last year but for whatever reason, our division play sucks, maybe that's just on Mularkey but its been going on longer than just him as HC.

Dolphins are the 3rd 10 win team, not 4th, but Tennessee manhandled them last year. Even if they did improve, hard to assume at this point that they've improved enough or Titans regressed enough to auto assume L here.

Colts, I'm optimistic we beat them once this year to break the streak but again, our division play, specifically against the Colts has been lousy. Couple close games with them last year and they aren't a very good team is hard to just chalk up an auto L.

Ya, I didn't leave any real predictions for 2 reasons. 1- the draft hasn't even happened. 2- With NFL parody the way its been, its almost impossible to predict these games now or how each team's season is going to go. Just last year Minnesota was expected to be a powerhouse NFC North competitor, then they go 8-8. I also bet if we look at predictions from last year, very few had Dallas going to the playoffs let alone #1 seed or the Dolphins reaching 10 wins and the post season.

11-5 is my prediction, and I think we are in the running for a bye first round of the playoffs, dont think we get it, but we'll at least get a home playoff game.

Thing is, most your reason for teams "not being better" is based on what you hope to see from the Titans... rather than what's actually transpired.

You'd be hard pressed to find someone that isn't a Titans fan that'd dare say the Raiders aren't a much better team. Again, they were expected to be in the SB. Titans? lol not even the playoffs. So how would one not be seen as much better?

But yeah, we don't know how these teams will fare this season. We also don't know how ours will, either.

Texans are and will be better than us until we finally change that. They and the colts both have owned us for quite a while. 'Til we shift that, they're better. Leave the bias out of it.

Colts get lucky against us every game. But eventually we have to kill that.

Oakand week 1 will be a true test. They're my only early season team I can see beating the Pats in the ACC Ship right now. Adding Lynch and rebuilt the secondary early in the draft. Amazing pass O vs our new secondary.

Week 2 @ Jax we better win

Week 3 vs Seattle will be another battle.

Houston, Miami, Indy, & Cleveland before the bye. CLE should be an ez win, Indy MNF @ home should have us fired up.

If we can start 5-2, I'll have some seriously high hopes

I understand why you did it, but I feel more confident in us beating the Jags week 2 than the Raiders week 1, not that we can't win that one. I cannot wait for this team to have a winning record in the division.

How were the Raiders and Patriots going to play in the Superbowl, both being AFC teams?

I think you're talented enough to beat every team on your schedule. However, your coaches haven't been doing you any favors.

Yeah, I'm including stupid mistakes on the field as a reflection of coaching, in addition to game day decisions.

Your coaches get better at managing games, Tennessee could easily win 10~12 games.

I guess anything is possible when 2 AFC teams can meet in the SB.

He's right, the Titans will never meet the Pats in the SB

I'll go to war for Mularkey off the mental change this team has gone under him in 1 year
