One more reason to be cautious with PFF's grades. All grades are within context of their teams scheme and that doesn't always translate with FA signings.

Just want to say last year we added demarco, mathews and jones as our "big additions". Mathews was our best wr, demarco was a top 5 back and jones was a top 5 c. We also added some bums at cb, but the rest were pretty solid for us outside of those 3 (they were great). All 3 of those guus are on o and changed our team dramatically. This year all 3 of our "big signings" have been on d, with cyprien, williams and ryan. I don't see why titans fans can't trust the process. Only jones was considered a good addition last year and only ryan is considered good this year. But, all 3 of these guys will come in and contribute in a big way, just watch. We have a talented scouting group and a very experienced coaching staff. These guys were brought in for schematic reasons approved by LeBeau.
We may have missed on some guys that we don't even know about. Jrob runs a tight lipped ship. So you can't judge anything off of who we don't sign, only who we do.

I don't think that's all that true. Matthews was just under the radar and Murray was coming off a down year in a scheme that didn't suit him. There was honest hope regarding these players, with recent film that suggested they could be good signings.

Sly shows little to nothing on the field, Cyp is a LB in a S body, and Ryan worked best as a Nickel (with help over the top) most recently.

Each future class doesn't get to stand the previous ones success (or failure) and become unquestionable prior to proving it in the field.

DeMarco was a stud coming off a down year in an offense not suited to him that we got for peanuts. Jones we all knew was a huge upgrade. Rishard Mathews was a solid get, not a speedster but known possession WR coming off a good year at a position we were lacking. I think all those guys were very solid signings, not splashy, but given their pricetags they were fantastic.

I don't think you can compare Sly and Cyp to either of them, their tape is bad and their grades have corresponded with their film, AND we OVERPAID. Logan Ryan I'm excited about, he's going to be nothing if not steady, and corners get paid, so that's just the way it is. But nobody pays big dollars for SSs who can't cover and NTs who can't rush or stop the run. Swing and a miss IMO

Cyp was the 7th ranked safety in the entire league last season, genius. And if you think a combined $16M guaranteed for two guys on multi year contracts is big money, you know nothing.
